Given how utterly corrupted the upper class has become I don't doubt it, but I do have to wonder why they want it. People being destitute means they can't buy the stuff made by the rich folk's companies.
I believe it.

All DLSS is an AI filter (it literally stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling). DLSS5 just has a much more aggressive and comprehensive sort of one as an option that folks have decided is extremely offensive. The DLSS5 or whatever its called has an AI filter, and it is terrible.
Which is a waste of time and resources, and should not be needed in the first place. This is what all these tech companies bought up the cpu/GPU for? Burned in hell you bitches. All DLSS is an AI filter (it literally stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling). From an article I read, there appear to be two issues. Firstly, complaints it was sold for its improvement in lighting effects, but seems to do considerably more. All DLSS is an AI filter (it literally stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling). DLSS runs LOCALLY on YOUR system...Which is a waste of time and resources, and should not be needed in the first place. This is what all these tech companies bought up the cpu/GPU for? Burned in hell you bitches.
Don't worry, I'm sure that some companies will be allowed to pay a "consulting fee" to some Trump subsidiary to get approved to sell in the US.So much for a free market. Ain't ain't that right Trump suckers?

US bans any new consumer-grade routers not made in America
: Unfortunately, there aren't many options unless you're Starlinkwww.theregister.com
I read the article and indeed a manufacturer can submit their device(s) for FCC approval. What that process entails, I am unsure. I suspect something like someone from NIST and the NSA taking the firmware apart line by line.Don't worry, I'm sure that some companies will be allowed to pay a "consulting fee" to some Trump subsidiary to get approved to sell in the US.
Because Trump is a criminal who is crafting government policy to enrich himself.
I'm certain this is how it will work for anyone who gets through approval with any kind of speed, but there is an approval pathway for those unwilling to pay into the grift, it involves DOD and DHS examining it for cyberattack flaws and clearing it for approval. Which of course just means you produce one sample of routers that doesn't have whatever backdoor, get it approved and then the ones hitting the consumer base can be flashed with the firmware with the backdoor rendering the whole premise pointless anyways.Don't worry, I'm sure that some companies will be allowed to pay a "consulting fee" to some Trump subsidiary to get approved to sell in the US.

Yeah, yeah, AI bad, gotcha. Didn't hear you complaining about any previous version of DLSS even though they're all AI upscaling, DLSS5 is just more...aggressive about it. Agema is dead on though - it doesn't understand that something is supposed to be a coherent model it just takes scene data and tries to scale it up inventing details as it expects them based on that frame and the preceding few for context. It's a tool and it'll end up being used to great effect by some and avoided by others depending on the intended goal. Applying it to random existing models and scenes has striking but not exactly great results because they weren't created for it. Someone needs to load up some older games and force on DLSS5 for a laugh.Which is a waste of time and resources, and should not be needed in the first place. This is what all these tech companies bought up the cpu/GPU for? Burned in hell you bitches.
Well ok, but DLSS5 is also looking like it will be much more widely utilised. The number of games using DLSS "upscaling" more than doubled in the last ~6 months. It makes sense that objections will get louder as the problem becomes more widespread and more egregious.Yeah, yeah, AI bad, gotcha. I never kept up with those to begin with. The only thing I knew about was the raytracing for some of them back in 2021. I'm not a p c parts heavy guy for the record. I stand by what I said and they can all fuck off.Yeah, yeah, AI bad, gotcha. Didn't hear you complaining about any previous version of DLSS even though they're all AI upscaling,

Don't think many people have an issue with utilising advanced GPU tech. Its the use of machine-"learning" to flatten creativity.Game makers take advantage of advanced GPU technology for their game. News at 11.
So don't turn the function on.Don't think many people have an issue with utilising advanced GPU tech. Its the use of machine-"learning" to flatten creativity.
I'd rather it not be there to begin with.So don't turn the function on.
I get people clowning on it, the opening demo there wasn't exactly something that blew people's pants off. But what I don't get is why everyone now gives a shit. On revision 5 of the function. And the previous four versions have been rather popular. And since the function is built into the GPU, using it isn't like its revving up a data centre somewhere and it has to be engaged by the settings on a game by game basis. Unless you use the nVidia App's global settings like a weirdo.I'd rather it not be there to begin with.
Its similar to how whenever my last phone updated, it auto-installed a host of applications i don't want. Sure, i can uninstall them every time. But its a pain in the ass and a bloody cheek, and if i forget one time it'll be slowing me down in the background.
And even if i don't use it, its part of a broader trend that unavoidably, negatively impacts me. Machine-"learning" shreds the environment and pushes costs up.

Don't be too surprised when they eventually start forcing people to use it or say it's required. So don't turn the function on.
There are two reasons for this. Firstly, the visual changes made by DLSS5 are noticably more prominent and uncanny than DLSS4. And secondly, there's a wider sense of fatigue about shitty, intrusive "AI". So sure, some iterations may be purely optional, but its all so goddamn ubiquitous and forced, so that when we see the 10,000th creatively-bereft face, there's a reflexive groan and eye-roll.I get people clowning on it, the opening demo there wasn't exactly something that blew people's pants off.
