The clickedy clack of shoes on marble, or just the sounds that games use for footsteps on various surfaces.
As fun as igniting people with a snap of my fingers is I always prefer incasing people in blocks of ice for some reason. Its just cold and mechanical, nice and simple. I dunno why really.MiracleOfSound said:I went with Incinerate on my first playthrough, but I'm so trying that.Disaster Button said:The sound and look of someone shattering after you freeze someone then explode them with your spear gun in Bioshock 2.
Well considering how the fire effects in Bioshock 2 can turn a battle into a frame-rate killing, chaotic mess, the Ice plasmids seem like the better choice on a practical level too.Disaster Button said:As fun as igniting people with a snap of my fingers is I always prefer incasing people in blocks of ice for some reason. That would work but I can actually play the fire explosions great, and its weirdly satisfying to watch people explode in flames in completely realistic graphics. Of course that was before my computer exploded half way through playing the game, which I suppose is some weird kind of karma for setting people on fire and freezing them.MiracleOfSound said:Well considering how the fire effects in Bioshock 2 can turn a battle into a frame-rate killing, chaotic mess, the Ice plasmids seem like the better choice on a practical level too.Disaster Button said:As fun as igniting people with a snap of my fingers is I always prefer incasing people in blocks of ice for some reason. Maybe it was just Bioshock breaking the fourth wall again.Disaster Button said:[

As soon as I get my PS2 back from my lazy pal I borrowed it to I think I'll replay it. And yeah, the boss fight against TidalWave was epic, at that time he was the biggest boss I'd ever seen in a game; and as with all the other boss fights in the game there were several ways you could beat the guy because the Minicons you'd collect throughout the game allowed for an awesome degree of customization.MiracleOfSound said:That was actually a pretty great game, and the boss fight with the giant ship was really well done.Sonicron said:I really enjoy subtle musical variations within a single theme, depending on either your condition or your exact location in a larger area.
Also, one thing that still sticks out of my mind is from 2004's Transformers game on the PS2 - when you fragged an enemy, they didn't just blow up, no, they actually desintegrated into dozens of mechanical parts which could be seen and heard bouncing off the terrain; if you used Optimus (in truck mode) to plow through an entire horde of weaker bots it looked like a brightly-colored elephant on wheels was rampaging through a hardware store specializing in spare parts.
It's out in May?Sonicron said:As soon as I get my PS2 back from my lazy pal I borrowed it to I think I'll replay it. Man, I sure hope Transformers: War for Cybertron lives up to my expectations; I basically jumped out of my skin with glee yesterday when I found out that the game is actually slated for release in May already!
Well, once you're done changing your pants you can go on wikipedia and confirm for yourself what I've just said. Admittedly we all know that release dates are often subject to change, but if they actually manage to keep it without sacrificing quality Transfans around the world are in for a treat before half of 2010 is over.MiracleOfSound said:It's out in May?Sonicron said:As soon as I get my PS2 back from my lazy pal I borrowed it to I think I'll replay it. Excuse me for a moment...
[huuurgghghghghgh]
Sorry, just had to jizz my pants there.
Haven't you heard? Episode 3 was eaten by zombies!Sonicron said:[

Considering that we got the first trailer for the game in November, if memory serves, they're either really rushing this game or they've actually managed to keep a lid on the project for pretty damn long, resulting in fans not getting teased for years on end before actual release (as it happens with many other games... looking at you, HL2:Ep3... *snicker*).
It's hard to gross Dr Zoidberg out!ultrachicken said:.
Also the way that watching myself inject blue fluid into my veins in Bioshock doesn't make me throw up.
So that's where that sequel went... oh well, I didn't care about that series anyway.MiracleOfSound said:Haven't you heard? Episode 3 was eaten by zombies!Sonicron said:[

It's really nice that we're going to get a G1 game, after all that was the mst popular one for most people and had the nice simplistic designs, unlike certain rather 'busy' looking recent interpretations...
Agreed. I dind't like the Megatron design either.Sonicron said:[
Yup, I definitely like the design of the new game. The characters look like refurbished versions of the awesome War Within models, and the developers seem to have gotten the look of Cybertron down to a T.
The only thing I don't like so far - judging from the trailer - are Megatron's design and voice... I mean, if they couldn't get Frank Welker to do the voice, couldn't they at least have hired David Kaye?
I actually liked the design of his Beast Wars counterpart the most, but that could be because I watched it before G1. The first Megatron was undeniably evil, and while he wasn't dumb either he just doesn't compare to the constant scheming and amazingly sophisticated mannerisms of BW Megatron.MiracleOfSound said:Agreed. To me he'll always be pale white with a blue Nazi helmet. He looked perfectly evil that way.
