Oh, and this little detail from Metroid Prime: Echoes- there's an enemy that can hijack your suit's system and cause it to screw up.

Annoying as hell, but I loved seeing the fact that someone took the whole 'cybersuits can be hit with viruses' thing into account...

"Republicans in Space!"

Also, on the Biggorron Sword sidequest in Ocarina of Time, the creepy little Kokiri girl who gives you the saw:

"That guy's not here anymore, Mister. Anyone who comes into the forest will become a Stalfos.

Will you become a Stalfos too, Mister?

Everyone.

Stalfos."

This isn't specific, but I love it when there's a scripted death in a game. You know what I'm talking about. Where you're playing, get killed by a bunch of enemies and then you wake up somewhere.

That little jingle in BioShock's vending machines. It's refreshing to hear that little tune when you access them. And let's not forget the ever famous:

"WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS OF YOU'RE READING THIS IN MY VOICE, AREN'T YOU?"
I wasn't pleased that they dropped the jingle in the sequel.

Character specific dialogue in fighting games, it's interesting to hear different sayings depending on who's fighting. Love Blazblues and Dissidias character match up speeches (Kefka always has something fun to say).

Hearing the character go "Oh Sh-*boom*" in gears of war after getting tacked with a torque bow.

Driving in a hog with marines in Halo and hearing their banter.

The subtle changes to characters, story events, and sometimes even settings in RPGs depending on your actions and dialogue. And I'm talking actual subtle changes and not that blatant bs you see in most RPGs with moral choice systems. The best is when you aren't aware and aren't given some clear choice, but it's done in a more natural manner. None of this "do you want to eat the baby or give it a treat?".

Also, the scripted events, the intels and the teddy bears in Modern Warfare
Teddy bears you say?

Please, do go on.
Throughout the game, there are teddy bears hidden around the map, even some in the Multiplayer Maps. They're just cute easter eggs.
Huh. I've never actually noticed those.

Cheers, though. I'll be on the lookout next time.

The radio station chatterbox in GTA 3. I would just drive around listening to that
Any good radio station in a game. This includes the GTA games and Fallout 3.

It just makes the world so much more immersive.

I loved some of the actions that the NPCs do in GTA4. For example, carrying cups of coffee, texting and making phone calls, or pulling out their umbrellas when it rains.

It makes Liberty City feel like it's alive, rather than having them there walking around actionless and lifeless so the streets aren't empty.
