See, why does our fucking stupid government give these to prisoners anyway? Can't we bring back capital punishment and the style of jail we saw in the Victorian era? It's no more than they deserve, after all. If you commit a crime that warrants a jail sentence you should automatically lose your human rights, since you obviously didn't care about the rights of your victim, after all.

One of the many perks of having a 360. When some idiot over Xbox Live tells you he'll bring his boys round his house, he's actually lying.

In PSN's case... well, err.

If you like the idea of that so much then just move to North-Korea. You will find plenty of that there.
Ummmm, no, the only thing in North Korea is that you have no human rights to begin with. I'm talking about serious criminals, like murderers and rapists...

Handing cool things over to people like murders and rapists is not exactly the same thing as handing a console over to somebody who did something not as bad. Like somebody who got thrown into jail for not paying taxes for years or something.

Also i don't think people who are locked up in a high-security prison like murderers and the like are allowed to accept gifts from people anyways so i am not sure if they could get a PS2 or TV or whatever.

You made it sound like you were talking about all criminals and not just the ones who did something like killing somebody.

Not paying your taxes for example may make you cheap, but that does not have to mean your a terrible person either.
As I say, I just mean serious crime like murder and so on. Not paying taxes is fine, they still shouldn't be allowed gifts or anything (why have one rule for some and a different for others?), but they should still get some perks of some sort provided they aren't too bad. Treats for good behaviour and so on. I just think serious criminals should be left to rot, or rather, the equivalent considering they still need to be fed and watered and so on. However, as for giving serious criminals treats and so on? They do. Believe me. They even had a fancy dress party for Halloween last year for the psychos in Broadmoor, they were dressed up as Freddy Kreuger and werewolves and all sorts. Now that's messed up.

exactly my point!

prison is for punishment, its not an arcade, its not a park and good behavior was only a benefit for the outside world, your in prison now, tough shit
that's my stance

it doesn't matter what your crime is "good behavior" can get you anything from a game system to a TV to a video game council
but if someone is a murderer or a rapist I don't care about their "rights" anymore.
prison is for punishment, its not a park, its not an arcade and good behavior is only good in the outside world
the span on time that you were sentenced for should be written in stone except for extreme circumstances other than that keep them locked up for however long the judge says
if you dont pay your taxes thats 1-8 years depending on the ammount owed and years neglected and that's reasonable to lock someone up for that amount of time to keep them inside with their mental demons
if you murdered someone that's 20 to life and that's a good amount of time to keep separated from human contact

Exactly...
Yep, yep. Obviously the problem is with Sony, not with the Warden allowing convicted felons to go online/game online for free. I would guess the reason criminals would use Playstations (I assume they mean PS3s) has something to do with the online service being free for the moment. I doubt mob bosses have any real preference for Sony.

On the other hand, some of the stuff Sony gets away with makes me think they do indeed have "connections." The CEO certainly has wiseguy moments.

Most of the time for good behaviour, they also get digital television.

Sometimes I consider dropkicking an officer so I could get a little holiday time behind bars.
