Wow, never saw this coming! I though Bond would be the last franchise to be suspended. Anything been mentioned about Stargates future?
They sold the rights of Stargate to Disney.

I hope it stays in development hell then make another crap "Bond" film like Quantum of Solace.
A picture of Dalton too? My favourite is still Roger Moore.
You mean the best Bond since Octopussy?

Yeah, they should pull another piece of crap out for sure.

It's kind of funny how people like to rag on Dalton for being a "bad Bond." I recall one critic dumping on him for playing a "thuggish" Bond. Yet 20 years later, Daniel Craig is in the running for "best Bond ever" for doing essentially the same thing. Dalton deserves a lot more respect than he gets for what he did with the role.

You want a real spy? I can arrange a meeting...

My name is Michael Weston.
I used to be a Spy.

I'm actually sort of glad we're moving away from the commando-vs-entire-evil-agency archetype of spies. Jason Bourne, Michael Weston and such are more realistic and even more FUN depictions of the work, outsmarting your enemies rather than overpowering them and getting by on luck.

That said, maybe if MGM can't hire lawyers, we can get Goldeneye: Source development back going.

Personally, I really didn't like Casino Royale as I've never really liked the recent trend of more realistic action films that it was trying to copy. The James Bond films have always tried to be fun first and realistic second and as such, filled the hole inside every bloke who would love the oppotunity to do something that looks cool, is over the top and slightly stupid such as drive a tank through the streets.
Thank you. I didn't much enjoy Casino Royale either, as it felt nothing like a Bond movie, and I don't care for Craig's interpretation of the character at all. Because of this, Quantum of Solace is the only official James Bond movie I haven't seen even once.

But then, to me Brosnan will always be the best Bond. It only saddens me that most of the movies he starred in had such rubbish scripts. (Rubbish might be an exaggeration, but he didn't get much more than one and a half truly good Bond movie, as far as I'm concerned.)
