The original took like, 300 million dollars or something ridiculous like that to make, the sequel won't cost less...
Actually, it would. They no longer have to create the technology to make the movie, it's already been made.

My opinion on the movie: It was good. Not spectacular, and I wish I didn't need to pay extra for relatively unneeded 3D(though I could actually TELL it was 3D, not like Monsters Vs. Aliens....there was nothing 3D about it). Plot was basic, visuals were great, sequel forthcoming.
I didn't think they where planning on making a sequel, they wrapped up the film pretty well. Ok it caused the film to drag on, but they ended solidly. After all, they wouldn't want to fall into the "another crappy sequel" trap... oh wait this is Hollywood, oshi-

It looks terrible. I heard its basically the same old Evil White People Destroying Natives story, except with crappy CGI aliens in place of the Natives. But everyone says how good it is, so I'm seeing it on Tuesday. I have high expectations.
Yeah, its themed around big white nasty man- mixed in slightly with exploiting the enviroment, a more modern theme. It does however tell the "big nasty white man tale" very well indeed. Its defo worth seeing.

I didn't expect to see a cliché Western movie about greedy gold miners, pantheistic native Americans and a cross-culture couple that attempt to make things right. The graphics were good, really good, but the story was extremely boring and that killed the movie for me.
