Because of the innovate way it is filmed. A new type of camera has been invented for it so that the film is fully £d rather than "d with £d bits to it. I think thats it anyway :S

Yeah I was like the same as you, Like wtf is this film, I thought it was a film about the cartoon series but it had an article on it somewhere on here and it seems pretty cool

I'm just pissed it stole Aang's thunder...

Still, I might see it. Even though the one promotional poster I've seen if it looked like an Asari XD

Close. The purpose of the technology behind the filming is to capture the action and facial expressions of real actors in a real location (not a green screen) and be able to transplant those elements into a virtual environment where various elements such as lighting, weather, and even what the actors look like and the clothes they wear can be manipulated. The result is essentially a CG film where the character action is partially live action.

Ahhh there you go then, I must admit it does sound really interesting and the storyline of the whole thing thing sounds excellent as well

No. In a sense. See, this movie is some movie that I've never heard of until E3 and then this guy who I've never heard of comes out and tells us that he's making a highly anticipated movie that I've never heard of and making a game to go along with it that will probably suck.

But M. Night Shyamalan is making a movie based off of the cartoon.

You live in the UK, yes?
Go out and buy Empire magazine this month. There's a big thing on it in there which explains everything.

It looks pretty good though.

Yeah, I looked him up on IMDb shortly after I made my post. I liked Terminator and Terminator 2, haven't seen the rest of his movies, unfortunately. I know about his films, I just didn't know his name.

Alien was actually Ridley Scott. But James Cameron also gave us True Lies which is one of my favorite action films of all time.

I saw it in the UK, the 16 minute preview.

It is mainly hype, I am excited but for the sheer scope of the whole thing. Imagine Lord Of The Rings and seeing a 10 people in a swordfight, okay, that is pretty caj. But when you see an entire war or whole armies move in those films and you realise the whole scale of it all then you were like wow.

The special effects are nothing I have not seen before, just imagine the equivalent of 10 Gollum's on the screen at the same time. That is it, the technology is amazing but only for those behind the camera, it is amazing to work with but for the viewer it isn't anything I have not seen before anywhere else.

The setting is amazing, so much has been put into the design process to make it a unique world.

This wouldn't interest me at all if it didn't have Cameron's name on it, but yeah, I consider it my obligation as a "movies fan" to always check out what this man is up to.

actually, for i've seens in the preview, it's look exactly like a part of a book that i,ve read lately, where the main caracter goes on another planete, and is goes into a machine that send his mind into a body of a primitive humanoide monkey like creature. While connected to this machine, he can control the body partially, but he also feels what the creature feel.

the preview look exactly like that...

but i will probably go see it, it,s seems good...
