OK, I really have a hard time enjoying anime. The closest I've ever got to enjoying any anime I've ever watched was Battle of the Planets and Robotech. With that in mind, I have one thing to say.

This. Is. Fucking. Awesome.

Seriously, giant robots are still cool, and noone does them better than Japan!

Nerd Edit: It's a BEAM saber. Mobile Suits use beam sabers,(ie, sabers of particle beams held in a magnetic field "bottle") not lightsabers. You want Lucas to shut 'em down?

Willie: "Use yer shinnin!"
Bart:"Don't you mean "shining"?
Willie: "hush, boy, you wanna get sued?"

Wow, I guess the crazy stuff that Japan does isn't all just random stupid stuff; some of it is just awesome.

SOON IT WILL GAIN SENTIENCE!

And kill us all!
To be fair I wouldn't mind that.
Death by giant robot beam saber is a very awesome sounding way to die. Much better than "natural causes".

Am I the only one that understands what is truly happening? The Japanese are in fact secretly building fully functioning Gundams to take over the world while showing off these models to fool us all!

... Wish I could visit the place.

Oh, I know that. But "lightsaber" is easier for non-Gundam fans to immediately understand right off the bat :)

And now I need to change my underwear.

Japan moves one step closer to a real giant mecha army. Surrender your allegiances now guys.
Come now, if Call of Duty has taught us anything, it's that come rain or shine... and Japanese mechs... Cpt. Price and the S.A.S. will save us all.
Some SAS guy VS. Japan's Giant Mech Army
...
Yeah, I think we all know who wins that one

That would be the best game/movie ever. It could go either way, think about it.

Now, while I need to maintain a level of professional decorum as a news writer here, I hope you'll forgive me this one outburst of fanboyish joy:
