It is very obvious. Improv everywhere does something like this every year where the actual victim is the audience itself.
All of their pranks are like that. Their whole joke is banking on people not getting fed up and beating them up for screwing with everyone's day. I honestly think they deserve to get arrested or punched for all the stupid crap they do. It's not all that funny and they are really, really in-your-face annoying.
He means the viewing audience (on YouTube), not the people being improv'd.

Oh. Well, I think it works either way. I don't think that kind of Borat "it's funny to laugh at people who don't realize we're screwing them around" humor is very funny.

It was probabily a fake. Everyone on that car was involved in the prank and it was just made to fool youtube watchers.

IF ITS NOT FAKE then the actor playing Jar Jar was just being an idiot and the big guys gave him plenty of warning before they punched him. No-one in their right mind would go up to people who look like that and ignore their warnings.

Objection!

There is no way this was an April Fools... It's too fucking obvious, besides who would think an April Fools joke involving Jar Jar could ever be a good idea?

So yeah definately not fake, much to that actors dismay i expect
Watch the video again. It says in the bottom right corner "This video was faked for April Fools."

Honestly, that was a really tasteless "prank."

"Your Honour! Do see anything wrong with the witness's testimony?!"
"I can't see anything wrong with it"
"Huh but, I-I thought..."
"You don't seem very confident Mr Wright"
"Objection overruled"
(Am I on the wrong track?)

If you watch the video they say it's fake in a link (April Fools joke for their YT subscribers) and have a link to another video explaining the prank...where they actually almost got in a real fight w/ someone else on the subway (in the commentary you hear them celebrating by saying "Yay it's believable!" XD)

Harassing people on a New York subway? What did they think was going to happen?
Even so, the men who assaulted him should be jailed.

When doing any sort of public acting your generally suppose to keep a distance from people and not act upon others. It would of been fine if he had done his act without interacting with anyone. Going into peoples faces like that triggers a fight of flight scenario typical in humans.

Well the website confirms it, this was an April fools joke, a good one at that.
Not really. I felt this blatant publicity stunt was done in really poor taste.
No, I mean it was really well produced. I mean look how many people it fooled I don't condone it no, so many things could have gone wrong and they were stupid to do it but it really did look real.
I could create the world's greatest turd sandwich, but it would still taste like s***. Even if it was well-produced, the Jar Jar video is still an inappropriate publicity grab.

Yes but the way to show it was well produced is to make someone eat it. anyway am I not agreeing with you?
