Do you know why everyone recommends getting a 360 controller for your PC? Because you're mostly going to be playing console ports on it. Most PC gamers are still console gamers, just playing with higher resolutions and better frame rates. Despite what they tell themselves, they're still playing gussied up hand me downs.
Minecraft, Terraria, FTL, just about every MMO ever, The Witcher, MechWarrior, Starcraft, Dota, League of Legends, Torchlight, Diablo, Hard Reset, Killing Floor, Painkiller, Payday, Amnesia, Homeworld, Company of Heroes, Outlast, Project Zomboid, Rust, DayZ, Hawken, Starbound, Sins of a Solar Empire, Civilization V, Freespace, and hundreds if thousands of other PC exclusives or PC originals that I dare not even attempt to list lest I go insane from monotony....would beg to differ, good sir.
And besides, the reasons people so often suggest a 360 controller are three-fold:
1: It's the only one that has any kind of built-in robust native driver support for Windows. (thanks Microsoft)![footnote]Said with an emphatic smile, two thumbs up, and not a HINT of sarcasm. Nope. No sarcasm at all...[/footnote]
2: It's one of the few "standard" controllers that people are familiar with; especially if they're coming from gaming on consoles.
3: A lot of people aren't even aware of the vast array of other controller options available on PC.
But please, continue to condescend to PC gamers as if you know what the hell you're talking about. It makes you seem so very mature.
