For those who don't know, Jonathan Creek is a detective series about a stage magician who investigates weird crimes, often attributed to supernatural means, to debunk the irrational thinking. The actual series stopped a long time ago but there's a one off episode most years. The quality is generally considered to be very high and it's well respected BBC series.
Did anyone here catch the latest episode? It was full out insane, I'm not sure what went on but it was one more twist away from being the work of someone who snapped and decided to take everyone with him.
Plot summary
Also at one point someone says 'We didn't know she was allergic to ... BEES' with a full on dramatic zoom.
Normally I'm fairly impressed when people manage to solve the plots to Jonathan Creek episodes and the like early on. This time I'd be severely worried about their sanity

Plot summary
So a super smart scientific atheistic former comedian with only a couple of months left to live and whose wife was cheating on him with his doctor made a comedy sketch about faked footage of (presumably) politicians and media types cutting backroom deals. Some politician saw the footage, assumed it was real and immediately ordered a hit on all people who had ever seen the footage. The people did the hit by dismembering a chain saw and hoping the guy would accidentally cut his head off with it during one of his secret midnight stage magic practising sessions, which he did, and the guy beside him was scared people would blame him, so he called up his girlfriend who'd found him cheating on her with Jonathan Creek's friend.
His girlfriend immediately decided the only sensible thing to do would be to make a fake body out of clothes and towels and stick her fathers actual head on it and then chuck it back out of a window so that she could create a mystery which might make her mother religious before she died (her mother had been drugged by nuns who then touched her fingertips through a painting of St Barnabas as a child and was now firmly atheist. Also she used to belong to a witches coven that accidentally killed a fellow pupil whilst hazing her)
Creek figured this all out, because a globe was twisted sometime between seeing the body and the body vanishing and 'the only thing you need to create a body is a head'.
At the end it turns out said politicians who'd seen the comedy sketch had also managed to infiltrate the police unit investigating with their agents and those agents tried to burn to death Jonathan Creek, his wife and some by standings to death in the office of a top advertising company to (?) cover their traces? But the petrol had been switched with apple juice and then a man who only had mobility in one finger on one hand beat them up with his chair
