Hey Escapists! I've been playing the Just 'Cause 2 demo, and I really like it. It's intense. And I was wondering, for owners of the full game, if it's the same experience?

Please answer in great detail.

yes it is. The best way to describe it would be to call it grand theft awesome. You can treat it as a grand theft auto sandbox games and just cause havoc, or go to a military base where havoc gets you money and closer to the next mission! Very worth the price.

Its fun, BUT its not worth the 40 bucks or so it costs now. The storys shit and the game play gets repetive.

The game is awesome.
I'd say it's totally worth 40 bucks. Not 60, but totally 40.
Totally.

It's just ridiculous, over-the-top fun. Run in, kill everything, blow everything up, and have a blast. I played the demo 5 or 6 times, and loved every moment. Got the full game, played the ever-loving crap out of it, beat the single player. I had more fun with Just Cause 2 then I did with GTA4. It was a blast.

I think you could just play the demo over a bunch of times and save a lot of money. The only reason to buy it would be because it is SUCH a big time sink. Believe me when I tell you that 100% completion is a myth in this game, I have gotten up to 54% in something like 70 hours, I kid you not.

It is great mindless fun just to fly around blowing everything sky-high in a helicopter, only to jump out, Blow up everything you missed, steal a car and fly away. It may be the same experience over and over, but it's increddibly fun and it's easy to find creative ways to kill things with grappling hook combinations.

Overall, it is a consitently good experience. Well, exept for when you get 97% on a military base and can't find the last thing.

eh...it's a fun game, but the temptation is too strong to just fly all over the place blowing stuff up and collecting things and you just forget to do the actual missions.

Its definately the best sandbox game I've come across in a long long time. The storyline is extremely lame but thats not where you spend most of your time. The DLC is almost a must, so its a good thing its fairly cheap. It does get a tad repetative, but if you approach every attack differently then its not so bad. If you plan to explore the map and go after all the acheivements, it will take a while. You won't be doing it over a couple of days to say the least. And as you know from the demo. Physics are right out the window, expect more of the same. One of the few games that is actually worth its price.

It's good, but not very memorable. Fun while it lasts sums it up quite nicely.

Plot and voice-acting are terrible though.
watch it with transcriptions turned on for utter lol's

apart from the D movie plot and the terrible voice actors the game is great. the shear amount of stuff it offers can keep you occupied for months.

EDIT: heres a video i found that should give you a taste of just cause 2.

It is like the demo and it is a really gof game. The only thing I can say is wrong with it, is that the map is too big. Seriously, it takes about 40 minutes to get from one side of the map to the other in a plane.

The game is a great way to spend between 50 and 100 hours. Get it if you liked the demo. Some of the missions are truly epic and make it well worth the money.

fully upgraded Pell Silverbolt? and the trips can be quite eventful if you fly low.

IT IS AMAZING. Yes, you should buy it. Okay, granted the story is shit and it starts to get repetitive after you've beaten it but this game is absolutely awesome when you have more than a ten minute timer.

If you have a lot of creativity you could probably make this game last a really long time.

It's a lot of fun and has a lot of screwing-around value. Only complaint is that the story is a pile of horseshit (probably intentionally so, but it's not a good enough excuse imo). But it'll keep you interested for a good while :)
