Well....

I've lived Amsterdam for two months, which is far dirtier than anywhere in the US I've been. (Sorry Dutch Escapists).

I've been to Bali! I must say, Bali is beautiful,as long as you stay on the resort. :p

Singapore was by far my favorite place to be. I lived their most of my teenage years. If I had to pick a place other than the US to live, I'd just Singapore. They speak English, it's the busiest port in Asia. Super strict laws stop people from mugging you, shooting you, and they keep the streets very clean! (Littering is a $500 fine).

I also really enjoyed Brussels.

You forgot the mention that taxis outnumber people. In Philly, I rarely saw a taxi, so you could only imagine my reaction when I saw whole streets in the busy part of the city flooded with them.

The only thing that currently interests me about Japan is that I keep hearing how it has a mind-blowing experimental music scene.

Real nice, dude. He's not even geeking out about anything, just being amazed at how clean everything is.

OP: Jealous! I wanna go to Japan maybe too.

Believe me, it's nice to visit, hang out and generally enjoy the nice service-society. Live in Japan? No way. I spent a year there while studying Japanese culture and language. It's not for everyone. Believe me.

For a pleasure trip though, it's awesome!

You should see Rotterdam, it's even worse.

I was recently in the Netherlands for about two hours. The trains are remarkably cheaper and punctual than in the UK. That was all I had time for before getting the ferry home, and I was impressed.
