Well a few years ago I hated it.

Now I just kinda... don't care. I don't feel the "Christmas spirit" any more to be honest :/. All those songs, commercials and (especially) Christmas movies running around me all the time for pretty much 3 months used to get me so terribly pissed... I never noticed it as a kid and instead got excited about the presents... Now I just... don't care...

Try and sneak this onto their playlist. It's just called "Twelve Days of Christmas" after all xD

The radio plays the same few songs at work, so fucking annoying.
They play Firework, Teenage Dream and California Girls by Katy Perry about 5 times a day.
Alejandro by Gaga about 6 times a day.
That annoying as fuck 'Just the way you are' song is played about 4 times.
The newest Rhianna song about 2/3 times.
So annoying!
I'd actually pay half this month's pay-cheque if I could have those songs instead of what we have. And a quarter of next months to get rid of the crap we normally have. Sure they're pretty bad, but better than the alternative.
It's not too bad because I like most modern music, apart from Rhianna, although I like her song with Eminem >_> but it gets on my nerves. Sometimes I'll go home and my fella will be playing Gaga which I've had to listen to at work, and I'll just rage.
I don't think they've started playing Christmas songs at work yet, they haven't even put up decorations. I've realised they play the X factors cover of David Bowie's 'Heroes' which is the bid for Christmas number one. It makes me die whenever I hear it. ;-;

Here's my three favorite christmas songs, first the sensible one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5bo4VDEH-U
Second the crazy one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dd8wewH5COU
And lastly the one that's full of sexual innuendo:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rFDQ0ZjLnk
(for those of you that don't care the artists are Mariah Carey, Weird Al Yankovic & Lady GaGa and if a christmas song written by Weird Al doesn't make you want to listen to it it then I don't know what will)

OT If I had to listen to 8 hours of christmas music then i'm not sure if I would still be alive, infact I think you deserve a medal.
The Weird Al one is blocked here, is it "The Night Santa Went Crazy" or the one with the nukes?
The one with the nukes, "christmas at ground Zero" i've heard "the night santa went crazy" but it's just a bit too much for me.

Opt to get the Ol' Blue Eyes (Frank Sinatra) version of those songs.

Makes them much more bearable, in my opinion.

...Yet again, Frank Sinatra makes everything better.

Luckily I am not in your predicament but I do hate Christmas music.

I was in stores yesterday... and it was all christmas music. I found it annoying, and not just because I am not christian and don't celebrate christmas at all.

This is why I avoid grocery stores during the holidays damnit!

It's only 2 more weeks dude. I'm sure you can handle it, or at least learn to block out til then. If not, phone in sick every now and again.

if anything
theres a very strong arguement for MORE christmas songs to be written
so there's more to play
and subsequently each individual song would get played less

Last year, I worked in a grocery store. The Christmas music arrived a day before the Christmas decorations, which went up on the fifth... of November.

GUESS WHAT I THINK OF THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC.

Your not doing a very good job if you have time to count the number of songs. Keep busy, that should keep your mind off it.
Its a grocery store. It can't be that mentally stimulating.
OT:Yeah sucks man. I get tired of those songs while shooping. In there for like 15 minutes and then I want to leave. Also I get tired of all the FO:NV music really quickly

Snoopy's Christmas needs to fucking die. I liked that song no matter how many times I listened to it as a kid, but by the time you hit 21...I'd rather listen to something else. I get tired of people calling me 'The Grinch' because I'm not in the christmas spirit by listening to the dozen or so songs....

Dethklok should make some Christmas songs. That would be more entertaining.

I really think there should be more Christmas songs, so we don't have to listen to the same ones til they drive us insane. So here, a Christmas song that sounds like normal music.
And it may reflect how you feel.

Christmas At Ground Zero - Weird Al

The Night Santa Went Crazy (Alternate Version) - Weird Al

These two are great Xmas songs... Too bad they never play them anywhere...

I personally don't mind listening to nothing but Xmas music... As long as theres variety...

What I really don't like about this holiday music is, why hasn't anyone made New Years music...

I never did enjoy christmas music. Sure, when I was >10 years old, it was entertaining in a childish way. Yet, now it is just over played.

Nope. I love Christmas Music! It's like Nostalgia that never ends really. And most Christmas Specials I've ever seen have been great, even through age. Though I have to admit, I've lost my love for the Charlie Brown Christmas special (The First one). The children have no emotions, and the plot is a little boring.

I work in a shoe store. Clients like radio. I like listening to the radio too. But that radio only get one frequence. The "Popular-music-of-the-moment-and-last-three-months". I swear that if I hear waka-waka one more time I commit Murder!

Oh man, I would have gone crazy after an onslaught like that. I really hope they don't continue the holiday songs after Christmas for your sake.
