But yeah splitting the vote is a danger, the margin in some races are insanely low, even if he only get 1% that would be more than enough to swing elections. Hell even 0.1% could swing enough state to change the president.

Actually, the deadlines for the paperwork and bureaucracy required to be on the ballot in a lot of states have already passed, so even if he managed to be on the ballot in the last moment, it'd still only allow for a fraction of the total states to have him as a candidate. There's literally no way for him to win. Also it'd take a ton of money too.

No, I'm not implying that Trump and Biden are equally bad. I'm implying that they're both horrible. They are bad in many of the same ways and some different ways. For example, Biden is attacking Trump from the right on some foreign policy issues; Venezuela, Russia, China. A kinder, gentler white supremacist capitalism may be laudable to some extent, but I'm not voting for it.

I think the only restrictions on running for president are being born in the US/having one US parent, being a resident for the last 14 years and being over 35.
Technically, it's "natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution" which was 1789 . So if you are some horrific undead monster, you might still qualify even if you were born in Carpathia or something.

Although apparently there's some controversy over whether people are allowed to be president if they were born in Hawaii, too.
If Kanye is just doing this as publicity for the new album it better live up to its name cause the last two solo endeavors have been forgettable.
Also if Kanye does run he doesn't have to worry about rights to campaign songs he can just use his own. I suggest Harder Better Faster Stronger or lets roll the 2020 gambit and he some how wins and this the victory song.

OTOH, if you're a White dude born in Panama, you get zero questions about the legitimacy of your citizenship.
I'd ask whether anyone thinks there is a point to replacing white Trump with black Trump, then again, replacing white Bush with black Bush worked out pretty well for the establishment.
