Well obviously it's not that strange, it was your immediate reaction to the news post after all. 'How dare women complain, it's their fault'

If it's an arseholish thing to do then you should have no problem with women calling them out on it...

Not to mention the many people who think I'm wrong to complain about what you said. I assume share that view too, although I could be wrong.

You misunderstand me, the act of staring at someone is something I oppose however I find it hypocritical for someone to make a huge complaint about it if they chose to dress that way (a variable you have complete and utter control over).

I still find it a tad disrespectful that you ignored the rest of my original post in order to zoom in on the singular part of it that displeased you.

Also, if you're trying to not-so-subtlely call me a jerk (or whatever term you prefer) then please just come out and say it plainly.

I never even considered it before this thread.
Honestly, I see boobs every day, you can't watch a commercial without at least 3 pairs of them being shoved in your face. They don't excite me in the slightest.
I've been completely desensitized to breasts.

Nice job not drawing attention to her tits and thus avoiding more discussion over them.

Why, if you do not want her tits to be a focal point, would you give her a corset?
And make her tits massive and show a magnificent cleavage?

It's like going out to town naked and telling people not to look at your dick when you do the helicopter.

Wasn't it the trend in the 20's for women to show more skin and have short hair?

I think that you can have a strong complicated character without making her flat, otherwise it's just a stale generalized woman.

Also I don't think they could change her now, it's too late for that IMO.

And Mass Effect's Miranda wishes you could stop staring at her bottom.

Except that's why it's there, why all the controversy is there and it wouldn't have sold quite as well without it.
Miranda is a justified example though, every part of her was genetically enhanced and tweaked to be "perfect"

Aside from the buck teeth of course.

Dude we should be able to wear what we want. If men can't control themselves it isn't our fault, we have every right to complain if a guy is creeping on us.
Your tits aren't smartbombs, sweetheart. Cover them or stop bitching about the attention you brought on yourself.

As for Elizabeth, Well I'm not keen on her costume as it is, If it's meant to be a victorian type era she wouldn't be showing that much skin anyways.

It just sounds like Ken is trying to turn it into a 'thing' to sell more games al'a Lara Croft.
Jessica, most studies and surveys of woman conclude that the the vast majority of them who wear low cut tops and other revealing clothing do in fact WANT to be looked at and enjoy the admiring attention, they just prefer that guys not get all drooly and creepy while admiring, but rather take more subtle glances towards them.

As for guys blaming girls for the way they act, it really is quite simple. If you don't want men to be admiring your body, then you shouldn't go around showing it off. Of course you're more than welcome to wear whatever you want, just know that you're going to be encouraging guys to look at you. It's the same as if you don't want to support Wal-Mart because you dislike their policies, you're more than welcome to take your business elsewhere to show your distaste for them. Then again, you can complain and you're still free to shop there any time you like, just know that if you do your money will be going to support and encourage Wal-Mart to keep doing what it's doing.

And the following quote is from Dave Chappelle, nothing sexist about it: it is simply the truth. "When a girl says "Just because I'm dressed this way, does NOT make me a whore!" That's true, fellas, that is true. Just because they dress a certain way doesn't mean they act a certain way. But ladies you have to understand, that is confusing to us. That'd be like me, Dave Chappelle the comedian, dressing up in a police uniform and walking around. Someone might run up to me "Oh thank god! You've gotta help us! They're right over here, come help us!" "HEY! Just because I'm dressed this way, does NOT make me a police officer!"

In short, women who wear revealing clothing do so because they want attention...there's no other reason behind it. They might not outright say they want attention, but deep down that's what it's all about. As such, it's simply unfair to wear revealing clothing and then go around complaining that guys are paying too much attention to you.

You know, Ken, if you didn't want fans to talk about Elizabeth's breasts, then you shouldn't have made them look so fucking prominent to begin with.

Yeah, yeah, women's liberation and all that. Except Elizabeth is not a women. She's a bunch of ones and zeros with a voice actor soundtrack associated with it. Ken had perfect control over both what Elizabeth looks like and what she would want to look like. So it was well within his ability to have Elizabeth's character model dress more conservatively or have smaller boobs.

But you didn't. You made Elizabeth a small girl with big titties and a prominently displayed cleavage. Well there's nothing wrong with that, but don't start acting pissy if that's all the fans talk about and not whatever deeper meaning you were hoping them to discuss.

I think that mid-game her big boos will lead to breast cancer, and some very frightening, hasty and deforming surgeries. Because of this and her growing belief that she's going to die (despite the surgery going very well and the doctors telling her she isn't.) Elizabeth begins to throw herself wholeheartedly into her chosen course. Eventually leading to mental exhaustion use of dangerous stimulants, hallcinations, insanity, and finally her death in a reckless fight to defend her beliefs. The fight results in her death, which accompished depressingly little. Even though her life's work survives and the people she inspired and rallied will continue.

Well, she is quite pretty, even without the... erm... honkers. And honestly, they don't look all that huge. It's just the bodice making them seem larger than they otherwise would. Honestly, if Levine hadn't commented on it, I wouldn't have noticed, beyond "hey, this girl is pretty, wonder why."

Wow...just wow. That's the sort of attitude that ends in 'She was wearing a short skirt so she was asking for it.'

Women wear clothes because the like the way they look or that it makes them feel confident.

It's pretty clear the media have objectified women to the point, that some men have grown up with the idea, that all women are there for them not for themselves.

I feel like I'm just repeating myself now... so I don't think there's much more to say.

Really? The internet is THAT focused on her breasts?

Not on the bloody regenerating health and apparent 2-weapon limit - WHAT BULLSHIT!
This is an outrage.
When did he say those would be in the game?
He didn't.

But he did release an extensive gameplay demo trailer that clearly showed a 2-weapon-limit from 2 weapon switching also the "Hold X to replace Y weapon with Z weapon" flashed on screen, and said weapon was dropped and another picked up...

Also you repeatedly the the demo, the HUD health bar refill after a few seconds of not being hit without any use of a health pack nor anything, classic Halo style health recharging..

Who knows if this will actually make the final cut but I can't help but feel disappointed if it does. It's not that I wouldn't play it. In principal it isn't as bad as Duke Nukem Forever having rebounding health and 2-weapon limit... but it's a definite imperfection.

You're clearly missing the point due to your deeply held belief that men are just a bunch of pigs. To use your own logic, if a woman wears revealing clothes because they like the way they look, woudn't it stand to reason that guys are going to like the way she looks as well? As such shouldn't every woman already know that if they wear such clothing they're going to draw attention to themselves? Why do such clothes make a woman feel confident? Could it be that they're confident in their physique? Does confidence not inspire attention from others?

You can plead ignorance all you want and say that in the mind of a woman, wearing such clothing has absolutely nothing to do with a desire for attention. Fair enough, I'll take your word for it. All I'm saying is that you have no excuse to get upset about drawing attention (even if unwanted) when the clothing is designed to accentuate and flaunt certain parts of the body. Granted, men should control themselves when admiring feminine beauty, but don't sit there and try to say that revealing clothing isn't specifically designed to draw attention. I bet if I walked outside tomorrow in a pair of assless chaps, I'd draw quite a bit of attention as well. Most likely a lot of bad attention, but not all attention given to a woman in revealing clothing is good, either.

Nowhere did I say that...hell I'm giving you guys credit here by saying you DO have the self control not to be pigs. Just because a woman wears a low cut top you don't have to leer at her like she's the last burger in hungry town.

If anything you are the one saying that men don't have the capacity not to look :/

Well how about putting less blatant focus on them then, moron?

I'm sure it's been said a hundred times, but of course people are going to say something when you put a fricking sign up like that.

Of course, with all of the smoke and mirrors these days, that was probably the intent from the beginning.
