I use this mouse for work everyday, and sporadically play single player FPSes with it (hardest available difficulty, from the couch). I still use a regular mouse for serious matches, but I'm sure if I had 12 years of experience playing with it instead of mouse I could play at just the same level as with mouse.

I have no idea why it's not the norm for consoles, or at least to be an optional official controller.
