for using up all the first aid in l4d2 XD
That's definitely a kickable offense. If you used it ALL up, that's griefing.

If you mean you used it too early, it's a kickable offense on Expert or a close Versus game. Sometimes, people bring in their attitudes from Expert to lower difficulties, though.

The dumbest reason I was kicked? Some racist assholes thought I was black by the sound of my voice, and maybe they thought "Chamale" was a variant spelling of "Jamal" (Chamale rhymes with "Tamale", actually). So they called me a ****** and kicked me, before I could even point out that I'm white.

Then I reported them to Microsoft and their Xbox Live accounts were suspended. Oh, sweet revenge...

I've been kicked from games for being too low in multiplayer rank. In other words, I wasn't allowed to play because I hadn't played enough. I put up with it for a few weeks as I scrounged to find games I could join, but I quickly gave up on it and went off to do other things. I've also been kicked for joining servers (which was particularly frustrating because it took me a long time to connect to their shitty server, only to have a dialogue box pop up to say "You have been kicked for..." (the reason was outside the bounds of the box). On a slightly less dramatic note, I've been chased around and team killed repeatedly for no particular reason, and I've had people stand in front of me to purposefully block my view/shot, such that it became impossible to play the game.

This is why matchmaking games (like how it is on consoles) in which no one player is the host aren't always so bad.

For killing someone five times in gmod. Normally I would understand but if you make a tank that spawn kills me for thirty seconds then you better expect a few revenge kills.

For capturing points and making my team win, when apparently only endless killing was allowed.

For joining the game...
Right there is the most idiotic retarded reason to kick anyone, and it's happened to me a time or two.
Blame the devs if you were on the 360. They are the ones in thier infinite wisdom to put achievements for ranked matches so people have to keep kicking randoms waiting for thier friends to boost them.

For entering the game. (Usually by people who are trying to glitch an achievement or something - instantly asuming I would sabotage them)

For profanity. Under some extremely rare circumstances, I can see how the reason "children play here" is a legitimate one, but not in M-rated games. Take Quake 3, for instance: with all of its gore, fast-paced 'splodey violence, Satanic imagery, and, indeed, an in-game announcer yelling "Holy Shit!", being kicked due to my words seems a bit contradictory. My guess is that the server was being run by the standard religious type.
Additionally, I was temporarily banned from WoW for saying "Women don't exist." That wasn't even meant to be funny, per se - it was supposed to be one of those comments that's so stupid that it becomes funny. You know? Maybe? Either way, I was kicked for it... I guess you could say that the fact that I was kicked for that was so ridiculous that it became a joke. Perhaps, the GM was a master of irony?

For being a n00b on a 'n00bs only' server. Apparently by 'n00b' they mean 'People who have been playing the game religiously for years'.

For drawing a penis in the sky in a Garry's Mod server.

The funniest thing about that is that I would've easily removed the offending image if the admin brought it to my attention that he had no sense of humor, but he instead opted to kick me on the spot, rendering the atmospheric phallic imagery irremovable.

Because online play in MW2 is shit, so when the host can't accept the fact that they're getting their ass kicked, they leave. Most of the "host migrations" don't work. Meaning I get kicked because they can't take a loss.

For being effective with the republic Commando sniper rifle. Got quite a few headshots in a short amount of time, and must have been using an aim bot. Another one (same game) I was out of ammo, had my pistol out so I ran faster (first mistake), as the guy behind me shot at me (he missed, but apparently it was my fault- mistake 2), and as he was running up behind me, I grabbed the AA attachment, spun around, fired and got an insta-kill. kicked because
1. Using a speedhack
2. Having a high ping, so I lagged making it harder to hit me
3. Using a n00b weapon
In reality
1. Using a method available to all players, pistol is weak but speeds you up
2. Having the lowest ping and the shooter was using a very inaccurate weapon
3. Picking up the first weapon I saw
Other reasons that I hate: using n00b weapons (they're there to be used), not being in a clan, actually being accurate, getting the flag to often, not teamkilling, staying in a single room (it had the heavy machine gun, and I used it), getting a high kill-death ratio, killing other players (in a shooter)...oh the list goes on. Usually, I try not to kick people unless I see them cheat, but no, I must be killed...with fire.

I'd consider Northern Irish people Irish too, but believe me, if you called a hardcore Northern Unionist Irish, they'd probably shoot you. Really.
I have Northern Irish friend who will, at the least, get annoyed if you forget to mention the Northern part... So many extra syllables for the same tiny landmass.

OT: The usual L4D ones - killing people as the tank, not killing people as the tank, killing the tank when someone else was going for the "man vs. tank" achievement, vomiting on most of the survivors, several times over... I've stopped playing online. Splitscreen is still fun though!
I also got kicked a couple of times in Halo 3/reach for killing a group of enemies with a grenade, and inadvertently catching a team-mate in the blast - if you're team-killed, you get the option to boot the person who killed you. It's usually an accident, and I accept that, but some people don't look at any extenuating circumstances...

Because the host thought it would be funny. He made the mistake of saying he would, and was bombarded with a large array of insults, such as how his mom's penis is bigger than his. Heh heh heh. He then sent me a message calling me a fatass so I told him to go die in a hole. Also, he was a gay 12 year old with a whiny girl voice. That's why I don't like online multiplayer on L4D.

Being Irish.

Seriously, this racist fuck of an admin from Northern Ireland started shouting "FUCK YOU TAIG NO SURRENDER" as soon as I said I was Irish. He then kicked me. ************.
Well that's a bit odd, I would have said that makes him Irish too.
It's a bit of a complicated situation. In Northern Ireland, which is part of Britain, there's two sides. There's the unionists, who were placed there by the British about 500 years ago. They've got a slight majority, and want to remain part of the United Kingdom, and consider themselves British. They're usually Protestant. The other side is the Nationalists/Republicans. They consider themselves Irish, are usually Catholic, and want N. Ireland to be part of Ireland again. They hate each other, to the point of genocide at times, and they're still incredibly bitter. The person who kicked me was most likely a Unionist.

Doesn't change the fact that he was born in Ireland. My passport say I'm British, yet I still consider myself Scottish. Then again, I never really have understood your rather complicated political situation, altough I still remember seeing the bloody violence on the news when I was young.
Well, politically I guess I disagree with you because I tend to feel more unity is good. But then again I'm one of those believers in globalization, and that the only way to solve most problems is to dissolve all nations and effectively create a single human goverment. When it comes to campaigns for independance, whether it be the Irish or Tibetans, I think it's pointless if your going to globalize the planet anyway. Most of it comes down to the spread of ideas, but large scale violence is also going to be nessicary, and truthfully the less fiercely independant hold outs we create ("hey, we just got independane, and now you want us to dissolve it?") the less people that are going to wind up having to be killed off when the endgame starts.

Still, I think the point of gaming is to get away from annoyances like politics (long term, or short term). I also like gaming because I feel it's something that should help spread ideas and establish common ground. Things like your describing are just plain wrong.
