But "role-playing" doesn't just apply to leveling-up.
For Call of Duty to suddenly be a role-playing game, they would at least have to present the player with an actual choice every now and then.
Which COD never does.

Well you do get to kill the Vice-President in one of the previous Hit-man games, none of which ever got any controversy, in Fallout 3 you can 'blow up' a President and in Fallout 1 you can kill the president...

And how in the name of sanity do games class as pornography.. when I buy pornography I expect some manner of nudity in some fashion (hypothetical statement) and are they going to try and get rid off only a game they know of or are they, god forbid, going to be level and ban all games in which you kill people..

This happens to be at least 90% of all games.. hmmm....

There is no actual evidence that establishes a relationship of causality between violent video games and violent behaviour, only a relationship of correlation (and even that isn't as common as other more obvious signs such as "compulsive lying"; "social ineptitude"; "violent home environment between parents"; etc. that tend to have a more noticeable correlation with violent behaviour in children and teenagers).
