'The Allaince for Global Justice?!'

^ Is that the one with Captain America and Iron Man or the one with Superman and Batman? I can never remember.

Mohter to son: "Did you try to kill a Castro look a like today?"

Son to mother: "Black Ops made me do it, yo"

I'd love to see a game get made where you get to kill American Presidents...

Then we'd REALLY see if people thought it was 'just a game'
I'm of for an alternate future game where America is the bad guy for once (it's not an overly large stretch for the rest of the world lol). Could start with a mission to assassinate Obama and go from there.

This isn't porn. You can't masturbate to it. COD4 is porn.
This isnt a surprise. As gamers, we should be laughing. This is going to fail.

And I'd gladly shoot quite a few of them, as they're just virtual copies and the character in the game isn't me but just "Generic Soldier Boy #56094123".

I'd probably not dare shoot Teddy Roosevelt, the man survives shots to the chest and then kills bears with his bare hands... *shiver*

Oh please. Maybe if the game depicted the US assassinating somebody that wasn't an abjectly fucking disgusting human being who didn't deserve to live in the first place then this would be an issue. Honestly, the reason they picked this game in particular to be "pornographic" is because they're Castro sympathizers. If they really supported ending all "depictions of American militarism," they would be more uniform in their measures and criticize Wolfenstein for depicting US soldiers killing nazis. They won't, however, because nazis cross their unknowable and arbitrary threshold of people that are okay with being killed in hypothetical video game scenarios. Their double standards are seriously just stupid; I hope nobody takes them seriously.

Call of Boycott: Global Justice.

So, Schindler's List is OK; Orange Clockwork is ok, but this is not? Sigh... some people.
Disclaimer: I loved both movies like they were, a masterpiece of the dark side of our hearts.

Nobody expects this to succeed in any way, not even the AFGJ. They're just trying to get some attention by making inflammatory statements. Groups like this always need something new to complain about and crusade against or else people will stop supporting and funding them. Something has to be corrupting our morals and brainwashing our children every few months so they can keep existing.

I hate the use of the word pornography. I don't wank to Call of Duty, that's just fucking weird ...

...I use Timesplitters for that.

On a serious note though, just...no.

They don't "advocate censorship of speech," eh? Then what do they call it then? These guys are one step removed from Bible thumpers brandishing torches and pitchforks (no offense to anyone except the AFGJ intended. Offense to the AFGJ very much intended). In fact the that's the first image that came to my head when I thought of these guys and this protest.
This game is rated 'M' so children aren't supposed to be playing it anyway, and if they are it's probably because some irresponsible parent or guardian bought it for them.
When will these reactionary fuckheads get in through their thick skulls that there are systems in place to protect minors from violent video games, more so than any other entertainment medium???

I think these people need to look up the definition of "pornography."

Also, it's Castro. It's not like he's a saint or anything. Also, he wasn't actually assassinated, so it's not THAT big of a deal. Controversial? Yes, it is, maybe it's borderline tasteless, but it's not like it's JFK.
For those that dont see the point of the whole outrage on this subject -- yes, Im looking at you! ^^

You may be assassinating a decoy, but you are assassinating a real life previous president. Think about it, if *insert your country here*'s president was assassinated in a game -- decoy or not -- you would not be happy would you? Now, put your feet into Cuban shoes and think about it. You play a game, and you just assassinate your countries previous president -- DECOY OR NOT. It just doesnt feel right that -- game or not -- you would go about doing such a thing.

Wasnt it a double you killed? So no acklash on the whole JFK stuff yet? Im suprised.
From what I have heard -- haven't seen that part yet -- it is implied that you assassinated him. It doesnt actually show you shooting him as to leave it up to the players imagination. Im going off what I've heard here.

If your children get off sexually to attempting to assassinate Castro, you have MUCH bigger problems.

Hyperbole is not your friend.

CoD:BO is a RPG now, it seems. When do you "level up" in Black Ops, exactly?

And for the last time, it's not meant for children.
Multiplayer has level ranks, no?

And yeah. For a game that has an M rating, there are way too many kids playing it. But overall the controversy is nothing new. It's as probable to say that it was intended as a sales boost.

warning that dozens of retailers are "dealing this pornography to the children in your community" at this very moment.
Pornography, in Best Buy? What is and where is my credit card?

Oh, you mean the kind of "pornography" that people that would find Tetris offensive sling about every day? How disappointing.
