Okay what you and brother did seems kind of cruel, but I honestly don't care about the welfare of bugs or animals that much. I wouldnt go out of my way to kill some, but they mean very little or nothing to me. So basically it is rarely immoral to kill stuff, so I never feel sorrow for bugs, but just because I dont care about them means I would want to kill them. There is no inclination to do so, therefore I probably wont.
Except for those flying insects that always fly near my face. They deserve to die. And those beetles that always smell really bad and make loud buzzing noises when they fly. They should die.
So your basicly saying you that you kill them because there annoying

that sounds so evil on paper, lol
yea i guess it does

Yeah I find it wrong... I feel that the insect has just as much right to live as I have. I really do try to avoid hurting them, I try to get them out of my room, but I try as hard as I can not to hurt them.

So do I but I always end up injuring them then and don't know whether I should just kill them out of kindness...

Oh no. I enjoy it. I methodically dismember ants, then burn them alive. I throw the ones that live through it into the toilet.

Actually many insects should just outright be declared enemies of mankind, namely, Mosquitoes. I don't think they really have that much impact on the ecosystem.

The lack feelings, emotions, and a higher brain function. It's not like they're happy and I'm taking away something by killing them. It's not like they have a wife and kids that I'm taking them away from. There's just insects. They don't have evolved brains. I feel badly about killing intelligent animals, but not insects,

I don't feel that it's wrong to kill insects/bugs, I'm just too scared of them to kill them. I don't think it's a moral thing for me, more that they're in my room, flying around, and it's giving me a panic attack and since they're not going to live for much longer anyway, I may as well spray them to death. But if you killed them for pleasure, then yeah, that's a bit twisted.

Generally yes. But it must be for some purpose. I do not go out of my way to hurt or kill any animal but if an insect is bothering me I feel I am justified in killing it.

There's a reason there are so many bugs. MOST OF THE ARE DOOMED TO DIE! Help nature along. Smush a bug.

Do you feel it is wrong to kill insects/other bugs?
Nope.
Under what circumstances do you think it is morally acceptable?
Every circumstance where they are within a living area that is for me.
Do you feel a pang of guilt for crushing a bug that wasn't harming you in any way?
Nope.

I have yet to come across a good excuse...
...to keep the things alive. I have no qualms about killing insects. Especially mosquitoes. I'm sure there's a torture in hell that involves a mosquito in some way. Probably a small one buzzing next to your ear as you try and sleep...

who cares?

ok it may not seem nice however it's not like you are going make them extinct, the only way for that to happen if you completely remove the environment they like..completely...from earth
Insects outnumber humans several hundred to one.

We're more likely to go extinct then them.

I kill them, usually quick, but when I find them in the bathroom I quickly put on/pull up my pants and torture them for their perversion.

It is not morally "wrong" to kill bugs. They are one of the least intelligent kinds of life that exists in animal-type form.

People say spiders are our friends, but they can poison and kill us. Flies root and lay eggs in manure and can spread disease. Hornets and wasps will go out of their way to attack and sting anything that's remotely close to them. Mosquitoes are flying bug vampires. Ticks attach themselves to your body. Leeches likewise. Scorpions crawl into shoes and then sting toes with their poisonous barbs. Ants will build their hills right next to human habitations and then send their warriors to steal our food and bite our legs whenever they feel like it.

Killing bugs is awesome.

only if absolutely necessary. Keep in mind they breed very fast. So any dent you try to make in their population will be quickly reimbursed.

I remember doing some pretty awful things to bugs when I was little, but I assure you I felt sufficiently bad about it. I'm against cruelty, period. I won't hesitate to kill a spider if it's in my home, I bloody hate the things, ants too. Otherwise live and let live.

The only bugs I've never killed or will kill are butterflies and ladybugs. From time to time I'll find something nonthreatening crawling near my window and I'll pick it up with a paper cup and set it outside in the grass. Really, who am I to snuff out a life, however significant or insignificant it may be to me?

The ones I was referring to though were more the harmless ones, like crane-flies or grasshoppers... surely somewhere deep down it's just wrong on some level to take the life of one of these if it's existing harmoniously with you?
