Your logic is absolutely terrible.

I'm just very skeptical about games given that high a score. I've been disappointed by games with scores like that. The first Killzone's quality just fuels my skepticism towards the second. Due to high scores being "bought" I also tend to disregard any sort of score based system given by reviewers, a simple BuyIt/RentIt/LeaveIt system the Escapist used along with a reason why is a much better approach in my opinion.

Anyway hype kills video games faster than your nerdy friend can kill a boobies joke. Either A) The game lives up to its hype and is "average" because all it did was deliver the good. Or B) it's not the savior the religions have been waiting for and is just a overall decent game. this will make the game crash and burn... and everyone will remember the series in infamy. If it has no hype then you A) get a fantastic firm handshake you weren't expecting or B) you get a game that you didn't expect to be that great anyway.

Well, it looks pretty. The feature list [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killzone_2#Gameplay] is sort of scant - it seems the entire goal was in creating a compelling "Hollywood" first person shooter experience.

So... it pretty much just looks really pretty. 9.9/10 material for the materialistic.

It is very shiny though. I'd rent it. A pity it's stuck behind an analog joystick interface, though. I guess the console FPS players are relatively used to that by now.

Personally i think a game would have to be an "amazing" piece of work to ever get the elusive 10/10, something along the lines of Super Mario 64. Does Killzone 2 really deserve something close to a 10/10, does it do anything new,interesting,innovative and or memorizing? I have not played the killzones but from what i have seen, it just looks like the same generic sifi shooter.On a related note,Gamespot has been handing them out like crazy on games that...don't really deserve a 10/10. Something behind the scenes going on perhaps?

Fact is there is very little difference between the graphical capacities of both consoles, sheesh.

ACtually, no. The PS3 is capable of so much more than the 360. Look at Gears of War 2 and compare it to Killzone 2. The guys at EPIC games say they pushed the 360 to its limit with Gears 2. Sure, the 360 can probably do better, but probably not much better. It will never get anything approaching Killzone 2. And about that "graphical comparison" thing... I was too busy being depressed to laugh at how pathetic it is. Surrealist is such a blind fanboy, it's just sad. Halo 3 is by no means the "360's Peak Potential."

Sorry guys but this blatant fanyboy(ism?) has it coming...

Well, perhaps if the devs. were sensible they would drop it where I harness more power than either of those... My PC...

Seriously though guys, if you are interested I'm sure there will be a demo, and you can rent it... I don't really care if you do or don't like a review, but it is certainly no excuse to start a, very pointless by the way, flame war.

That logic is so messed up... Guerrilla Games has incorporated all the suggestions and criticisms that people had with Killzone 1 as well as solve all the technical issues (biggest understatement ever). Practice makes perfect.

Multiplayer is ehh? I love Halo 3's multiplayer. Forge is so much awesome and so is Theater. The customization is great as well. I've made so many custom maps and gametypes by now. I think Halo 3 has the best multiplayer ever, but again, that's just my opinion.

I'd wait for slightly more "trustworthy" reviews, or atleast reviews from more well-known places.

Not that I trust single reviews, no way Jos'e, but a good collection of reviews makes for a good census of the general opinion of a game.
