Can you say it's a trap?
Now you made me paranoic. What if the FBI made a deal with Dotcom to secretly deliver information of the pirates...
Then... don't... pirate...?

OT: I'll stick to TOR, thanks, but good luck with your inter connectivity crusade.

I like this guy a little more every time I hear about him. Goodluck Dotcom!

I must ask though cause i'm too lazy to google, is that his actual last name or did he do some official name change business? Cause that is awesome :3

This guy has been getting enough attention these last few weeks. Hell, he even tries to call himself a "freedom fighter". Reminds me of LulzSec, douchebags with more power than they know what to do with.

Gentlemen, he can rebuild it. He has the technology. He has the capability to make the world's next file hosting website. Megaupload will be that website. Better than it was before. Better...stronger...faster.

Hmm convicted fraudster and has a nice new scheme which he wants investors money.
Hey hey, that's alleged of laundering and fraud. No convictions so far. As far as I know at least.
In 1994 Kim Dotcom was convicted of using stolen and selling credit cards numbers. In 2003 Dotcom was convicted of Germanys largest insider trading case and also pleaded guilty embezzlement. He was also thrown out of Hong Kong for trying to start a hedgefund without a proper license. So to be blunt, Dotcom has a 20 year criminal history of fraud.
And so I stand corrected. He has in fact been convcted of embezzlement and inside market trading in Germany

"They abused the wrong guy," he concluded. "I am going to turn this world upside down. Power to the people. Bye bye Echelon. Hello Freedom."[.quote]

next version of Megaupload, promising a network that will be bigger, better, and faster than before.
>_>

*slow clap

Wow, sounds like a real prick to me. Then again, I'm in full support of a new megaupload for selfish reasons. Besides, the US Government and our dipshit-in-chief don't deserve to be world police. However, I'm not liking this "non-American" stuff. Am I reading it wrong or will he really not allow anyone from the US to go on to his site? I know we shut it down in the first place, but that's punishing us for something no American citizen knew about beforehand AND none of us really supported? That's seriously punishing the majority for the crimes of the minority.

When I read this I saw this

Seriously though, this guy is nuts. And it scares me, he has the money and the power to do some crazy shit,he's the sort of guy who burns the orphanage down while he's getting a blow job from the local nun, who he's black mailing.

As a surrfer of the interwebs I hope he does get falyed alive by the US,

NOW BEFORE I GET EATEN by ANTI US stuff let me say this

WE NEED TO KEEP OUR NOSES OUT OF YOUR PROBLEMS YES, But this guy is that annoying neighbor who shits on your yard, then when you call the police on him, he tries to do it again, Ithink it becomes our right to tell him to fuck off

NOW with that horrible horrible thought in my mind excuse me while I get brain bleach

Turning the world upside down...I'm not sure I like the sound of that. A new megaupload sounds great though, but captchas will be harder to input whilst upside down.

Hooray for pirates continuing their valiant fight to keep sharing all their stuff for free then? Unless this site takes more measures to discourage and prevent itself from being one of the biggest pirate storehouses in the world itll deserve to be kicked down again.
Sooo, the internet should not be used to share files, is that what you're saying?

There a ton of legitimate uses for a file-sharing service.

There's something called the Streisand Effect, it says that when someone in a position of power tries to censor something, they only end up drawing more attention to it.

What I'm trying to say is, he would not have gotten so much attention if the US goverment hadn't made such a mess of this case. That's not to say I agree with him though.
