Yes, that would explain the Wii-Mote and the Move wouldn't it.
Oh bollocks, how could I forget those!? Especially since I own a Wii that's still perched on my desk lol! Well, the Wii and Move are home-grown so to speak and as clumsy and inefficient as they are, you can at least hold them in your hands.

Well obviously the enlightened are a minority, otherwise Move would not exist.

Well that and honestly the Japanese don't like to import things. It's hard to get American products to sell well in Japan for that reason.
Kinect crapiness aside, I'm not surprised to hear that anything NOT Japanese is doing poorly on the Japan market.
