a meaningless effort, no kirby game will ever be better than The Crystal Shards.

EDIT: to the man above me, yes there was a huge amount of complication with the combinations, but they were all still AWESOME.
Oh I completely agree. As annoying and fucking stupid some of the combination's were, some of them were awesome. I 'loved' volcano head kirby, even though it was fucking useless sometimes.

The way I look at it, a good kirby game only has to make sure that an ability system SIMILAR to Amazing Mirror or Super Star. Lots of abilities, each pretty much about suiting the player's preferred style of playing the game.

For me? My favorite abilities have always been 'beam' or 'wand' abilities. In specific though, I loved the Plasma, Yo-Yo and Mirror abilities from Super Star, I used to be able to exploit the hell out of those abilities in that game and just totally 'destroy' bosses. XD
two words.

double fucking spike.

I tried a few Kriby games but a Kirby to the Wii (if it ever gets to Europe) would be something fun to try. A sort of Mario Sunshine type Kirby game could work? half free world and from there you would go to different places... It remains to be seen.

Hmmmm this is one of the few Nintendo franchises I haven't played so I can't offer an opinion on it but I still want a decent Star Fox Game.
Has any star fox besides the first been even... playable?

If theres ever been a series that really needed to return to its roots... heres a contender.
Most people liked Star Fox Assault, the only truly bad one was Starfox Adventures.

Does anyone have a rough translation for the title?
"Kirby of the Stars".

Or just "Kirby", since Hoshi no Kirby (星のカービィ) is the name of the series in Japan.

Hoshi no Kirby = "Kirby of the Stars", if that's what you were wondering about. It's the japanese name for the series: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoshi_no_Kirby

Ah, the memories from Kirby's Dream Land. My very first own Gameboy game.

OT: I really didn't expect this. I love Kirby with all his cuteness, and I can't wait to see what this will become.

Other M looks even more story-centric. I don't know why I couldn't get into Prime 3, but it certainly wasn't because it had a cast or that it was linear. As a matter of fact, the linearity was something I LIKED in Fusion, because it cut out all the backtracking bullshit that I loathed in, say for example, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow or Shaman King: Master of Spirits (both good games though).
I complete agree about Fusion.
I absolutely loved it because of the story they added in and while i missed exploration, it still allowed you to do that to an extent and it wasn't as frustrating thanks to the linearity.
It helped streamline the gameplay.

Though for item fanatics like me....there is still a massive amount of backtracking.....

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Any way The first kirby game (dream land for gameboy) Is still one of my all time faviorte games and I really enjoyed kirbys adventure (AKA Nightmare in Dreamland when it was remade for gameboy advance) When I downloaded it from WiiWare and have been diaspointed that there hasn't been to many games staring this charecter (On a main consule at least that wasn't some sort of spin off) So I'm intrested to see what becomes of this.

MUST. HAVE. KIRBY!

Seriously, Kirby games have always been awesome to me. I'd love to see an American release for some Wii games with Kirby! :D Preferrably an old school platformer remake ala Super Mario Bros. Wii.
