Could really care less*

OT: You should make a poll, OP. I'm betting the ratio would be something like 9.8:0.2 in favour of mild public affection.

Fyi, my opinion is that yes, it is indeed fine, [sub]even if it does make me envious to my very core..[/sub]
I'm sorry, but it is couldn't. Woodsey was right. If you "could care less" then that means you still care to a degree and that would make no sense to say.

Read the rest o' mah post, mofo.

OT: To add to the discussion, I'm not bothered whether or not it's two men, and that is during a situation I would most be bothered. And as long as they're not both staring at me.

No, people can kiss who they like.
Just keep your tongues in your own mouths so long as you're in public. Regardless of gender I want to smash people's heads together if they're making out in public. There's what you do at home, and there's what you do when you're outside, among other people. We don't mind your love, but we do mind your slobber.

Yes, I find it disgusting when straight people kiss in public!!!

Nah, just kidding. I don't have a problem with it at all.

You wouldn't have sex in the middle of a mall (hopefully o__O) so why make out?
You could, but you'd probably get arrested. But only a hardcore voyeurist would want something like that with people around.

On a side note though, I bet you you played a recording and somehow managed to plant it in the middle of a hallway without it being seen, it would raise a few brows. XD

Read the whole post, including my additions. Don't butt in unless you're giving a reasoned explanation.

Assuming you're referring to even being in a situation of where you're walking by in the street to see a couple making out, isn't your disgust/irritation irrational? That would put you in the wrong, or mean you're selfish.

Part of me cringes because part of me thinks it's just plain weird (other sexual orientation part, same doesn't bother me the least). I choose not to act upon this part because I know that I have no right to feel that way, and I know they have every right to do as they do.

Kiss all you want in my presence, just know you'll be called on it just because I want to be annoying :p
That might stem from the fact that I'm single myself :(

But in all honesty I don't have a problem with it. It's just fun to jerk those couples around once in a while. Happened to me on plenty occasions and it was just funny to me.

Now if the couple looks like they might be in need of protection while kissing or they're going at it all evening when you were actually hanging out with friends I kind of consider it bad form.

It really depends on the level of affection shown I think in my case.

Quick answer:
little kisses now and then and signs below that, are fine
Getting too open about it...ehhhhh not so much.

Gender wise, I don't think I have ever witnessed any case of it, though it might just have been me being clueless, but I think I'd probably be less tolerant if it was two guys. Not entirely sure why, possibly because I've always thought: "I don't judge you on your sexual orientation, just, don't shove it in my face too much".

So, that's pretty much how I can tolerate affection in public by various couple, just, don't be in my face too much about it. I usually have a hard time with cute little "blinded by love" young couples that feels they need to show their affection toward each other much more.

It really depends on the level of intimacy along with it. If it's a friendly little one, I don't mind. When it starts to get closer to face-nomming, then I tend to get uncomfortable.

Look, I don't want to argue. I really don't. Your second post doesn't have a source for "how it came about." Lets just agree to disagree.

I like doing it, but I can not stand the sight of others. I have a weird issue with watching other peoples' public displays of affection. Maybe I'm jealous... or a lonely neckbeard.

I don't have any problem with public displays of affection, but grant me the license to appear slightly uncomfortable. I think it's only fair.

I'm not bothered by any public displays of affection. Same sex, hetero, trans, multi-partner, whatever.

My partner, however, is bothered by any PDAs. My partner won't do more than a closed-mouth peck on the lips type kiss in public.

I don't really want to watch anyone make out in public.
I remember awhile back, someone showed me this video;
ABC Social Experiment[/youtube]
and I remember thinking it was slightly unfair because having to watch anyone get all lovey-dovey and make out in public is uncomfortable, no matter what sexual orientation or gender they are. Though overall, people were still very tolerant/supportive in that video.
