it tends to bother me when anyone does public displays. I get the urge to look due to my analytical nature. I guess it's not the fact that they are doing it, but the fact that i don't want to seem weird or looking or analyzing the couple. I don't like the awkward "What the hell are you looking at?!" look or comment.

I have the dubious honour of being that guy whose eyeballs nearly popped out of his head upon witnessing two passing girls kiss as they walked by.

I didn't stop and stare, er, I kept moving and tried to tear my eyes away. I'm not a voyeur, I felt like such a muppett for doing so, but I was totally taken unawares. I was deep in conversation with a friend as we discussed such weighty matters as life, love and the best 80s action flicks.

I was barely aware of them before I went and did the aforementioned idiocy.
Their friend gave me such an evil look! Rather haughty and defensive, actually... Guess that's continental Europeans for you :p

I'm probably the least comfortable when two men kiss, I suppose that makes me a screaming homophobe or something. I'll just look away, though. I don't like intruding on people's privacy, even if it's in public, and I get extremely defensive if I sense someone watching if I was showing affection to a partner.
It really doesn't bother me, but mostly all I'll see are hetero couples engaging in mild PDA- as vociferous as the gay community has become in recent years (though this seems to be restricted mostly to the safety of my college's campus) seems that there's not much to see.

PDA in this country is something of a weird one as Irish people are supremely juvenile and repressed when it comes to sexuality.
It's like we're all still afraid of something.

I've no problem with Re Captcha but does it always have to be this illegible?

Not at all. I'm perfectly fine with it. :D

Um... I'm avoiding this question to avoid offending people and an inferno. :/

No, love is love and if two people wish to express their love for each other in an affectionate(barring sexual intercourse in public) way, that is their choice and no one is forced to look at them. :p

My basic point is, Love. That is all.

[sub]Though, I really wouldn't mind if they started fucking in public :/, see if I care. :/[/sub]
Smiley overkill

Myself, I'm gay and don't really care who kisses who, or where.
I don't see why I would.

I have no problem with it. It only bothers me when people go a bit overboard which neally never happens.

I have to admit, I hate seeing two guys kiss. I have nothing against homosexuals but it just doesn't do it for me.

When two straight people kiss my only response is "meh?".

When two dudes kiss I get squicked out. I don't know why, but it just makes me feel uncomfortable. As long as they aren't having sex in public I can just move away and try and ignore it.

I support everyones right to display their affection in public, that doesn't make certain practices any less squicky to me.

Holding hands just makes me happy to see. Other displays of physical affection, i.e. kissing/light making out, bothers me regardless of gender pairings though. Or I should probably say it embarrasses me. But I'm fully aware that this is my problem and I fully support people's right to do so.

Up to a point. Groping, serious making out sessions, sticking one's tongue down one's partner's ear, etc, etc... Please don't do that in public. If you're going to dry hump each other please find some privacy!

No, personally I'm a fan of PDA. Though I may be alone in that. Nothing excessive, but a little making out never hurt nobody. Holding hands is great as well.

No one I've been with likes PDA though. But I even like seeing it from other people (regardless of sexuality). It reminds me of my own special person, and it gives me that warm feeling inside.

It only "bugs" me a bit because I'm not used to seeing it. I'll definitely double-take, or maybe even look away out of instinct. No disrespect intended.

Doesn't bother me so much as I take note that "Heyyy this is different then the norm I'm use too!!". I suppose it is kinda uncomfortable but the longer your around it the more normal it seems.

I find all public displays of affection unsettling. I am bugged more by a same sex couple, but that is probably because I am much less desensitized to it. I also find it a little weird when two dudes start making out.

"Does it bother you when someone not of your sexual orientation shows affection for their significant other?"

Yes.

"Does it bother when someone of the same sexual orientation shows affection for their significant other?"

Yes.

"Why?"

It's very unappealing to me and I'd like to not see it.

"Does showing affection in general bother you?"

Depends on how far the 'affection' goes.

"Should it just be restricted to areas away from the public?"

Yes. Because I'm evil. Muwahahahaha!

No, doesn't bother me at all. They're having fun, and their not hurting anyone. Good for them.

We should let love be free for everyone, it helps spread the happiness.

Kissing in public is completely fine. I say this after being at numerous party's and watching everyone kiss everyone. I personally only kissed the girls (guys do not taste nearly as nice) but still, it doesn't bother me.
Dumb question: If you've only kissed the girls then how do you know how the guys taste?

What do I think about public displays of affection? Regardless of sexual preference it always wierds me out a little. I also find it very rude when people are so oblivious that they block hallways and staircases, etc... because they are too engrossed in making out to notice that they are complete douchebags and don't realize that there are other people in this world besides them. Arghhhh!

Just don't stop in the middle of a walkway right in front of me to "show your affection" and we'll all be like Fonzie.

It annoys me if they're all over each other and you're trying to have a conversation with one of them. Also if one of the people is someone you dislike. Otherwise, not too annoyed by that kinda thing at all.
