Right, this is coming from an organisation in the land of economic simulators (Patrician, Anno series), countless vehicle simulations (Including farming and truck simulators), and many adventure games.

You know, when I read the title I thought they wanted Assassin's Creed banhammered because it portrayed them in a negative light. :L Although they probably realised that would be even worse if they got that banned.

To be fair, the Knights Templar were grossly misrepresented in AC. I really hope nobody takes that game for historical accuracy.

...Well then. I'm not entirely sure how to take this sort of thing. It seems funny for one of the most powerful and secretive religious military orders in Medieval Europe to resurface in 2011 as a group of people whining about violent video games, which is kind of funny considering the whole Crusades business. It's sort of like if the Knights of the Round Table (I know they're probably fictional) resurfaced and started telling people not to buy canned tuna that isn't labeled dolphin-safe.

I guess less-so if these guys aren't technically the same group from way back when, just using their name.

God, you should come over and live here for a while. It's not even funny anymore. Besides the typical prejudices against gamers by the typical people (jocks, old people) and at least one documentary about addicted, de-socialized and/or overly violent gamers every 3 months, our government refuses to accept that video games aren't just for kids. You know what? We even have our own Video Game Awards. Sponsored by the government. BUT ADULT GAMES AREN'T ALLOWED THERE! When it was first held, the big blockbuster games like GTA 4 and Fallout 3 weren't even allowed to be nominated! And Fallout 3 was even censored in Germany (and still only allowed to be sold to people of 18 years and up).

And now: The Templars! The friggin' Templars! Why are people stupid?
