Don't worry it doesn't look like every templar agrees with them, templars complaing about violent content is actually quite amussing for a military order
I know. That's why I said "for the last 50 years". Because until the sixties, a lot of it was covered up, or at least people didn't want to speak about that particular part of German history. The student movement of this time was the first group to really demand a discussion about the time of national-socialism and the crimes of their parents' generation.teebeeohh said:actually after ww2 you could find nazis in virtually every public institution in Germany, Politics, Police, justice system even the intelligence agencies tasked with catching nazis had nazis in them(which may or may not have something to do with the facts that they didn't do a very good job.)Avayu said:What? I can see what you are talking about with the violence, but covering up the time of national-socialism and Hitler? Believe me, for about the last 50 years, Germany has done exactly the opposite.WilliamRLBaker said:ahhh Germany trying to cover up Hilter, the Nazi's and violence since 1946.
Germany and countries who occupied it at the time had a choice: either prosecute everyone who did something wrong or let the country rebuild. And because the US used Germany as a poster boy for just how well capitalism works they decided that rebuilding was more important.
Not these guys, but the original Templars.EllEzDee said:...What?Jonny49 said:Didn't the Templars kill thousands/millions of innocent people?
Because the Teutonic Knights were (are... technically) actually cool. Unlike these buffoons.Je Suis Ubermonkey said:Here's a question for these 'Templars'.
Why not use the name Teutonic? It's pretty much the same thing, except GERMAN.
I get the feeling they didn't think it through enough. Hopefully that'll make them fail more quickly.
You mean this?MurderousToaster said:...and I bet that the German hits on that video on YouTube where a guy shows you how to make a hidden blade just went up around 500%.
Oh god, this isn't going to go well for this groupMr.Squishy said:Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

A small sacrifice to save many. It is necessary.
I've had the same thought just looking at the article ^^Scott Guthrie said:well this must be sorted *dawns cape and hidden blade*
Yeah, I know they're still around though they've been somewhat re-branded (for lack of a better word) and I doubt any of them are knights anymore. It's a good point, but the thing is I doubt these 'templars' would care either way. Just seems more natural for a German group to name itself after the German order.Luykus said:Because the "Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem" or the Teutonic Knights are still around. Just now they are a charity organisation made up of Catholic priests and nuns. Also the Teutonic Knights have kinda a bad rap due to the fact that the Kingdom of Prussia grew out of the their monastic state, and look how that worked out for the world.Je Suis Ubermonkey said:Here's a question for these 'Templars'.
