Easily one of my favorite games on the Xbox, I really recommend KotOR. One thing about the game that people haven't posted, is that the entire games mechanics, aside from dialogue, are complete 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons. All the combat, the feats, the skills points, all 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons adapted for Star Wars.

The game has good combat, good Force powers, deep character customization, and a great and unique party with a really epic plot twist. Get. This. Game

For $4.50 (or so) you cannot refuse HK-47. He will make it completely worthwhile.

Hint: Go to Tatooine ASAP to get him.

It's one of my favourite games ever, all the reasons why have already been mentioned I think.

However, when I tried to run it on Windows 7 a few months ago, it wouldn't go past the start screen for some reason. :/

Oh frell I just got a new PC with Windows 7, I was going to make a Dark Side, Force Power spamming gunslinger. Won't be happening then.

I just installed again and patched to 1.03 and lo and behold, I'm playing.

Thanks for the OP for reminding me how much I love this game.

I love RPG's and hated KOTOR.

I think the big thing for me was that turn based combat blows. Why can't I dock behind cover or play smart? Your combat system is literally click enemy and then watch.

It's an old school RPG.


To the OP, I don't know how much ?4.50 is but I think I paid $20 and it was worth every penny (It is in my personnal top 10 RPG list). If you like RPG's and you like Star Wars you will like it.

Duck behind cover? Besides ME2, what the hell kind of "RPGs" have you been playing? Any game with that kind of active combat is an Action-RPG at best.

Epic story? Check.
Epic characters? Check.
Epic leveling/class development? Check.
Epic impact on decisions. Somewhat.
Epic Graphics? For there time, Check, however are more than acceptable today.
Epic Gameplay? Check. (well i certainly think so)
If you like RPG's and/or Starwars then you can't miss this game seriously.

I'm loving Steam's sales. I've bought so many games over the last few days...

I bought this today, but I haven't had time to play it yet.
