Spoiler Alert: apparently I spoil the DLC
I have just finished playing through Crash Course on 360 (800MP grr) and I gotta say, well worth it especially as I am in no way done with this or L4D and if you do the math, the math being that I played L4D for at least 200 hours with the four campaigns so that's 50 hours a piece, I should get at least 50 hours out of this map. As I write this I realise that I'm going to get a lot more than 50 hours out of this map as it is by far the best map so far for the following reasons:
1)The first and main reason being that there is one, yes one, safe room in the campaign but before you break down know that the gap between the starting area , the safe house and the epic finale (but more on that later) is huge and makes it the hardest campaign yet.
2)The second reason is the dialogue, the dialogue has been changed to make it funny, add in a few fan-service, e.g. "Zoey: Hey Francis! The latest issue of "I hate everything" magazine is here! Francis: I hate latest issues", add in a big lump of humour (see fan-service or writing on the walls) and even a little bit of blatant advertising, e.g. "Bill: watch out for the steam coming out of that pipe. Louis: Steam? I love Steam! Bill: Me too!", bottom line is, the dialogue is fantastic.
3)The third reason is the choke points/finales, oh God! the choke points, they are incredibly fast and action packed with the finale pulling a L4D 2 on you and making you restart a generator which only adds to the chaos. The reason the choke points are fanbloodytastic is because of the spawns (and the fact that you fire a freakin' Howitzer!), in Crash Course there are so many places for the zombies to spawn you could be in a room covering the only door when a boomer and an entire horde crash down through the skylight.
4)The fourth and final reason is surprisingly the story, not so much as it's good but more the fact that it links together No Mercy and Death Toll. The story is based on what they originally had planned for L4D which was that all of the campaigns were linked but that was dropped as players lacked the feeling of accomplishment but they left in the sound file, which led to fans everywhere demanding a use for it, so they tied it together so that the pilot was infected but Zoey shot him as he turned, causing him to crash due to his lack of life and that's where the campaign begins.
In conclusion this is easily the best DLC I've played so far (no I've not played GTA4) and is by far my favorite of all the campaigns. Hope you liked my review and please comment as to your thoughts on it.
