I can only think of good endings actually. I suppose I'm easy to satisfy.

World Of Goo is the first that I think has a bad ending, but I'm not even sure, why that is.

Demon's souls was even worst then fallout 3. All you do is walk out of the kingdom... That's it, no back story or praise just "thx you can go now".
Way to miss the point. That's not the ending, there is no ending. Demon's Souls is more or less Groundhog Day as imagined by Lovecraft (the best way I can think of to put it). It doesn't matter how many times you seal the Old One, you will always be brought back. The nexus is Hell, and you are trapped there for eternity.
And thus a reason why it's lame. The entire story to begin with was half assed story telling and in the end you don't know if the old one is put to sleep and will awaken again one day because of the stupidity of man, or what you're doing is an endless cycle where you yourself have to continue doing it. All you see is you char walk away from the kingdom. Not to mention all the hype up of the Old one thinking there was gonna be some giant epic battle between it, where the ending boss is just a metaphoric blob of a king being nothing but a shell of himself because of his greed. After all the hell I went through in the game I a real ending not just subliminal crap.
The game starts out with your character walking towards the light, however this sequence does not repeat before you're dropped in front of the Maiden again after "finishing" the game once. All we know about the real Boletaria is that it's been enveloped in an expanding impenetrable fog and anyone goes in does not come back out. Vallarfax got out, but that was not long after the fog had appeared.

Anyway what I'm trying to say is that I think that the Nexus is Hell. Remember that the five "worlds" are really just nodes of the Nexus. Your character is only offered the illusion victory so his/her hopes can crushed again and again. At least that's my take on it. However, I'm really just scratching surface here, there's a lot more to it.

Borderlands. Could be summed up with "I just shot Cthulhu in the vagina-mouth-eye and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt".
No guns (or atleast any good ones), No Infinite Wealth, No Women, just a reveal that CL4P-TP is actually
The Interplanetary Ninja Assassin!
Who you kill in the 4th DLC
and is piss easy

I like to think that General Knoxx actually raided the vault beforehand and kept the contents in Fort Knoxx but was too pissed off at everyone to tell them and eventually forgot.

Fallout New Vegas. Ends sort-of the same way Fallout 3 ended - with some boring slideshow with some voice-over telling you about what sort-of happens with the factions you interacted with. I doesn't even give you the option to finish all the side-quests, it just ends.
That's how all the fallouts end. At least Fallout New Vegas actually did an ending for pretty much everywhere you went.
I know, but still, would have been nice to know if all the plans actually worked out(specifically mr. house's plan)

*SPOILER*
Definitively New Vegas, especially if you side with NCR or the Legion, as they have a huge build up to a massive war, and the game ends after the first battle, even if that battle decides the outcome, shouldn't they show the rest of this?

nope, I'll have to pay more for DLC.

What about WaW everybody knew how it was going to end HINT WE WIN
If you mean World at War, I really don't think you got the ending right. The U.S. didn't "win" anymore than the Soviets "won" at Stalingrad. The country is still occupied, the rest of the world has gone to shit, you nuked your own homeland, and your military is in tatters. In the midst of all that, you managed to stop ONE Soviet offensive and counter-attack.

The end.

borderlands i was expecting alittle more than just a crappy boss fight which does not even give you a special weapon or something AND you don't even get that much xp :/

Last time I checked you were warned before taking the final quest that once completed you could not come back? Like a BIG box on the screen?

I disliked the Fallout 3 ending immensely but it was cool to see how my actions affected the Mojave at the end of New vegas.

I think the worst ending for me though, so far, is MoH. It ended and I had only played it for 4 hours, IN ONE SITTING! Just sad!

Contrast it to Mass Effect 2,

travel to the galactic core, discover what happened to the Protheans, destroy or capture reaper technology

and noone says a word?
What?

Did you also complain at the end of Empire Strikes Back?

It's the second part of a (planned from the start) trilogy!
To be clear, the ending was fine, the fact that you'd done all that and no-one says a word afterwards is the strange part.

For me, I can't think of ANY games with terrible endings. Maybe I just play good games xD

Winning in Civilization V is extremely anti-climatic, regardless of your victory type. You basically get "A Winner is You!"-style screen and that's it

I'm kind of surprised that nobody has mentioned these three games, but on the other hand, maybe I'm a bit older with more gaming experience. I'm not 100% sure so it's just pure speculation

Back when i was growing up there was a game called Diablo...me and my grand father (my grand mother remarried) played the game to the end where you defeat Diablo, only to find out that my character, the Warrior, knifes Diablo's soulstone out of his forehead...and drives it into his own which makes him Diablo, Lord of Terror. Ruined what was up until then, a fond childhood memory to look back on. When I look back on it now it's only in bitter disgust.

The endings of the Saw game was just damn depressing. The two endings you get aren't worth the time, effort, or money put into getting that far. The first ending being Truth, where you find out that this entire time you were insane and the game was in your head and you've been locked up and strapped down inside the asylum. The second is Freedom, where you go home to your trashed and dilapidated apartment, to basically think about all of the lives that were wasted because of your failed effort to catch Jigsaw and you commit suicide.

Who ever herd of the first Perfect Dark on the N64? yeah? expected the end boss would get your blood pumping? not a chance! lame ass boss fight and even more lame small talk afterward. Things that have been seen cannot be unseen...

Some particularity disliked endings: Borderlands- Oh yeah, the vault? Had a giant monster and some so-so loot in it. That's it.

Fallout 3 without the DLC - Thanks for saving everyone, now you die.

And I know that everyone is going to have me destroyed and my ashes scattered to the ends of the universe for saying this, but - Halo: Reach. Only because the opening cut-scene shows you how it's going to end! *hides from incoming flames.*
