Lara is smooth, calm, cool, collected. Always well presented and in control. It looks like they're leaning towards a much grimmer down and dirty action hero which just doesn't fit her previous image.

Why not call it something else if they're making a different game and don't try and cash in on our memories of Tomb Raider?

I agree completely. That's just not Lara. It might be Laura Croft, but it certainly isn't Lara.

I love Tomb Raider (and yes, I was one of the few people who enjoyed Angel of Darkness).

I do love Lara, but AoD was shite imho.

This Lara is an untested 21 year old girl fresh from college. From a moneyed background. Who hasn't had to work a day in her life. The fact that they're having the character grow from a sniveling coward into the Croft I know and love is a major selling point for me, at least.

No, also I hate reboots. If a franchise has reached the point where they need to do that, it's time to bring it to an end, PERMANENTLY. ...well maybe resurrect it again in like 20 years or something, but at least lay it to rest for a bit.

I think (?) they attempted to cover her face in cuts, but the wounds don't look nearly as realistic as her face so it just looks like she's in the process of molting. (Or her face is gradually burning off)

I think I like her more as this new makeover. I always thought that although her feminity should always be a part of her character, there comes a point where you have to admit that she was only so over-endowed because of the old graphics systems.

Hopefully Crystal Dynamics will start to make a character much more suited to the modern day as well.

I like Lara Croft, always have, so I have high hopes for this new game.
