and personally I hate manipulation with a passion... so much that if I think I'm doing it unintentionally, I'll screw things up just to feel better about myself...

but anyway, I doubt that's the barrier between you. unless your only hobby is to watch walls dry, I dont think your family wont listen to you at all with any interest (and since your on a hobby-related site, I doubt that's the case)...

I'm sorry, but they really dont... I'm sure that your family has time to talk to you for, since your their freaking family...

and if your parents feel that you're imposing, then something's really messed up with them, and it has nothing to do with how interesting or not you may be to talk to (your sister might be another story, though)...

and as for Clown, well as long as he posts I'm happy, so I guess he's still feeling well enough to traumatize infants and toddlers...

Talks with them are superficial, we don't share many interests and they work mornings while I work nights. Not very long to talk in between. Not to mention I just don't like talking about myself.

nobody's forcing you to talk about yourself. you can talk about anything you like, your not restricted to any one subject.
now if you just dont like talking with them on a basic level, that's something else...
in that case, you could talk to people outside the family, either friends or co-workers, about common interests, and I mean talking about something deeper then "it's cool, that's not so much"...

I just realized I'm not so sure what exactly it is that I'm saying, so I'll just leave it with "there's always someone out there"...

that's usually a good answer to anything that isnt "when's the pizza going to arrive"....

I know the feeling... you'll just have to trust that what you're feeling is far harsher then one the one infront of you is... it gets easier with time...
