To be fair, the rape thing would be a valid point. I mean, if the genders were reversed it would be a bunch of "just deserts for rape" if the male had naked pictures of himself released.
You do understand that this situation is virtually impossible if the genders were reversed, right?

You DO understand that?

OT:
You know, I had no opinion on destiny before finding out about this outside of camping his ezreal one game, but after watching those videos.

Man.

XJ9.

Maybe we're all XJ9. What a lunatic.

Do you mean the probability of a female underage XJ9 having sex with a grown man then posting naked pictures of him on the internet because she had a retarded freakout about something he did?

It's certainly improbable but that's not the hypothetical point.

She raped XJ9. He is not legally capable of consent.

Edit: Correction, no sex took place(?) Ergo no rape.

They didn't have sex so it's not rape, plus I can't really imagine a court convicting her.

It'd be narrow minded to say everyone who plays LoL is a bastard, but I never played a game with friendly people. Something about it just seems to make people behave like pillocks, more so than other co-op games.

Huh, well, glad that can of worms doesn't have to be opened.

At the same time, he got naked pictures of her but no sex? I mean, I wouldn't even consider it rape if they did have sex because I had sex at 16 and I had wanted to since I entered my teens. But some folks get pissy about that kind of thing for some reason. Anyway, pictures but no sex? I'm wondering about the logistics of this scenario. Somehow managing to convince her of one but not the other.

It really depends where you play. I feel like a lot of league players get wildly different experiences. Leveling in league is incredibly painful. Max-level it all depends on elo, and even then the variance is ridiculous. Some people lose their shit at Diamond over anything. Some do that in Silver. It's the weirdest thing.

But that's the problem: Having played league and made friends (even close friends) with people on league, I can honestly say I cannot recommend this game to people anymore. I did at one point, but now? No way. I can play it and enjoy it, but I can't try and make someone suffer through getting a max-level account and then dealing with the hate you get in the average game.

Veering too far off-topic here, but XJ9 is a persistent type of crazy. As said before, he's been banned multiple times. This type of crazy is not exclusive to league, and to pin it on that would be a little silly.

No, I mean, consistently having the ability to threaten several females into submission until they had to find help from others through online bullying, including the posting of online pictures of one of them naked.

I'm making this a gender discussion, essentially.

If the genders were reversed, it would simply not have happened or have a wildly different response BASED on how much actual damage it could do to him. Level-headed back and forth here. Just understand that what you described as the potential situation assuming role reversal is way less likely to occur in the situation of the female being the offender.

EDIT:
Also, the hypothetical crazy "she" would likely not go the route of posting naked pictures of him on the web. It just doesn't have as much weight.

Well they were E-dating and had cam sex (as far as XJ9 claims, he said he had it recorded) the only thing is that she technically has child pornography, and rumor has it she posts it on her tumblr as a response, but quickly removed it, again that's far harder to substantiate as XJ9 claims it and he's a lying, vindictive, manipulative asshole so it's less certain.

I assume you meant "even if they did"...which is a whole new kettle of fish that has just had a can o' worms tossed into it. We run into it often over in R&P. And then, horrors and doom rule the land.

What I don't understand is how people let pictures of them be taken. I intentionally left out "naked". I hate being photographed, period. And no, I'm not superstitious or anything, I just hate it.

people like that shouldnt have relationships as that guy obviously isnt mature enough...
now if she was playing teemo...

Pro tip for gamer couples: dont play against each other. just dont!

...

Oh its XJ9... that guy with the name of a female teenage robot who once pretended to be a girl, got used by a girl for elo boosting and then dumped and banned again after telling riot that he eloboosted her.
that XJ9 who either plays a scumbag or is a scumbag and was pretending or really giving part of the donations he collected to help children in africa?
he is allowed to be an ass, he helps starving kids... no there is no proof of that)

and now he is in some new mess?
Oh silly XJ9...

I dont think normal human norms apply to that guy and I wonder how far it is till he turns out to be the center of some LoL related murder...
He really needs to be permanently kept from playing that game!

They provide pictures to people they care for and trust and they in term spurn the care and abuse the trust. The women in question (though it does happen to men far less regularly, though) have next to no role in this.

Some people are into that, both sexually and not. So whatever floats their boat.

Makes me wonder how these people start relationships or even bond with people for that matter. He sounds like a really unstable person to be around. Not to mention his ridiculous ego. I can only imagine the defence mechanisms holding him together. I wonder what his upbringing was like...does he have any mental issues?

Either way the further away that girl gets away from him the safer she'll be.

He finds a girl and pretends to be emotionally vulnerable, has a long talk with her and sort of builds a patchy relationship, he then sabotages them socially, paying off friends, spreading lies, cutting relationships off etc. He is incredibly controlling and manipulative and by the time his illusion wears off he blackmails and harasses them.

So...he's a sociopath, then.

Doesn't seem too far-fetched, actually.

Very serious dick move on his part. This guy honestly sounds like the type whose name will one day be in the news twinned with the phrase "mass murder spree".

Semi on topic, I'm sick as hell of the phrase "revenge porn" as it seems to imply no responsibility in any way to the idiot who allowed such personal and potentially embarrassing moments to be recorded in the first place.
All responsibility lies with the person who releases the photos. I don't understand how you could think of it any differently.
Sorry, I completely disagree. When a person allows sensitive pictures or video of them to be taken by another party they are no longer in control to what happens to it. It could be released accidentally through hacking or home invasion etc, or released maliciously. The fact the person allowed the existence of such sensitive material is their own fucking fault so they own at least part of the culpability.

Pure and simple, don't let yourself be photographed or filmed in situations that could be ruinous or embarrassing should they fall into the hands of a third party.

A League of Legends player turns out to be a bit of a shit, also in the news the Pope is a Catholic.
Ok, people raging and getting banned in League is like saying water is wet and grass is green, that is nothing new. People getting so upset over trivial petty shit and retaliating by disgracing them in public is a whole new level. With your analogy, A League player tries to ruin someone's life, in other news, the Pope is revealed to be God Himself in mortal guise.

On a different note, it doesn't seem like becoming a professional player in LoL did anything beneficial for his ego. Probably why it's a good thing I don't have any modicum of gaming talent.
He's not a professional, not to my knowledge, just a high-level player who streams a lot.
