Sound off on the game you feel had the least fufilling ending you've seen. For me, it was Draken 2. Watched my sister play that game & beat it & we all agreed the ending sucked.

Well, since this is the tenth thread which features the same topic, I'll say what I've always said. The ending to the Hulk game on SNES is horrible.

CoD 5: WaW

Partially due to the ending of CoD 4, which was presented in a superior way, making me see CoD 5's ending as leaving something to be desired.

Link's Awakening on Gameboy, finding out that the whole game had been nothing but a dream pissed me off so much I almost smashed the cartridge.

(SPOILER ALERT) Half-Life 1 and 2, I mean their great games, in my top 10 to be honest but in the end (SPOILER ALERT)

Once you beat the final boss in HL1 you get teleported into a tram and Gman tells you to get off it or he'll OWN YO ASS, you get off and THE END
and in HL2 you get esploded off the top of a giant tower. then time pauses and the same prick starts giving you a lecture. THE FUCKIN END

Shadow of the Colossus.

I hadn't played Ico, so I was probably missing out on the meaning of the whole baby-with-horns thing. Also, Agro should have stayed dead. It's not that I didn't like him, but he would have left a greater impression if he didn't come back.

Also, FEAR 2. It's unique, and kind of funny in a twisted way, but it fails as a means to tie up loose ends.

Assassin's Creed. Finish the final boss, get a cutscene with about as much closure as a fucking Star Wars trailer and end credits.
Leaving something open to a sequel is one thing, leaving it more open than HMV's doors during the January sales is just bloody infuriating.

Shadow of the Colossus had a beautiful open end IMO.
But on topic, I think L4D has a pretty bad ending. You just never stay rescued.

Fallout 3. Basically just went "Grats u win, oh btw we spent all our time developing vats and train stations so we wont bother with a cutscene, but enjoy the slide show!"

alot of bad endings available. but i still hate FFIX for killing Vivi at the end without so much as a cutscene. At least FFX had an overdramatic airship leap.

F.E.A.R 2, you don't end up much farther in the story than where the first one left off...I mean really a 2nd game is supposed to continue the story line and not rehash it from a different point of view.

Dreamfall, the Sequel to The Longest Journey.

It is one thing when a game with a bad story has a disappointing ending, but here we have a pretty good and exciting story that....doesn't really have an ending. Its all cliffhangers, and as far as i remember only a single side story really gets resolved.

Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy ends unsatisfying as well, but then again the last third or so of the story is painfully bad...

EDIT: Oh, and i second GOW 2 and Fear 2, but at least Fear 2 had a sufficiently bizarre ending.

I really liked Half-life 1's ending. Thought it was very fitting. I don't even know how else you'd want to end that game.

Forgot about that. And since you reminded me, I'm gonna say that ^
