Fallout 3. Basically just went "Grats u win, oh btw we spent all our time developing vats and train stations so we wont bother with a cutscene, but enjoy the slide show!"
This.
Thirded. Also Condemned 2, but that game already went poop from the moment that you got superpowers and craploads of guns, but the ending was horrible. Damn I hated that boss fight...

I wouldn't say the 'worst ever', but Fable 2's ending recently disappointed me chunks

okay, so we were theresa's evil pawns the entire game. WTF?!
At least you had fight near the end of fable 1, in fable 2 you just press a button while he stands in front of you not doing anything! I might like to play fable 1 again, but with an ending like fable 2's I don't think ill ever play it again.

On an unrelated note how did you get your answer hidden in a Spoiler click to view button?

So many. Most recently, Gears of War 2 irked me quite a bit. You fight your way through hell and back, destroy humanity's last safe haven to destroy an enemy at war with itself, and essentially cause more damage to your own human race than your enemy, and all you get is "BUY GEARS OF WAR 3 TO FIND OUT WHAT EVERYTHING MEANS"

People are going to buy the game anyway, just give us a damn proper ending while you're at it.
i'm pretty sure 3 is a prequel set in the Aspho Fields, or whatever the fuck they were called.

I'd say the endings of both Gears games.

Basically, they say: "Oh, by the way you didn't kill the locust."

I liked the ending...but on some level Final Fantasy Tactic's ending left you without feeling. Good point...but man what a way to prove a moral point.

I didn't like the end to Shenmue II, you basically have to sit through almsot an hour of dialogue for a game that will never have its third and final installment.

The ending I hated the most would have to be Legacy of Kain: Defiance. In some ways they left it open for another sequel, which I come to accept in the Legacy of Kain series, and the final boss was satisfying enough to beat the crap out of...

But they had to kill off Raziel! ;_;

A WINNER IS YOU!

Fallout 3's ending was horrid as well, was the final nail in the coffin for the fallout series ;_;

Eye of the Beholder. It is an old game, but a page of text does not constitute an ending, and I still vividly recall how disappointed I was.
For whatever reason I vividly remember an ending cutscene where you're given the titular eye of the beholder as thanks for saving Waterdeep.

Then again, that was the Amiga version I played.

I just finished playing Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit and was really enjoying it until near the end, when what seemed to be a mostly well executed, atmospheric, character driven game suddenly turns into a matrix ripoff with almost no warning, a month just vanishes in game, and the character development more or less screeches to a halt.

And I never heard any explanation for either the angels or the bugs.
Yeah, Indigo Prophecy was a great game, but then the plot goes to hell in a hand basket & becomes five different types of confusing. It was keeping me enthralled up till' the 50% mark or so. I thought the police chase scene was awesome, despite the tad confusing appearance of the 'super-powers'

Any game with a cliffhanger ending, fuck off. Especially when it's the first game of a franchise so you dont even know if people WANT a sequel.

Prince of Persia, there had to be a better way to tie in a sequel, hello, Farah!!
Final Fantasy VIII -[Spoiler Alert] Rinoa should have been alone on that balcony, that would have been a better ending.

you need to close your tag. For example:

(spoiler) and (/spoiler), except instead of parenthesis, use brackets. So it'd be like

Resident evil 5.

Wesker mutates and is blown up with a rocket launcher, they then fly off into the sunset in a helicopter. A completely original idea. [/sarcasm]

Bioshock's ending was kinda disappointing for me...
That's pretty true for me too. It seemed like they decided "Hey, since we're making three (two actual) endings, let's make each a whole 90 seconds!"

It was a great game but I expected a more dramatic ending.
