And I have internet problems on release day... Seems like the download speed wont go past 60kb/s today so I'll have to wait some time for it.
Is anyone actually buying that game? Honestly the reason I'm buying it is because I don't have the first game so if it's just the same I don't care much because it's still a brand new game to me. Can't wait to play though!

I bought it 2 months ago when I bought my laptop.

And I was supposed to get it today but Steam got my hopes up and crushed them cruelly.

But now, I can't actually see or play any of my games, it's doing something. And apparently people over here in the UK are already playing it.

Lots and lots of people. I bought and dl'd it three weeks ago. The demo put a lot fears about it just being more L4D and nothing else to bed. There's quite a big jump in a lot of areas.

I'd guess Steam's content servers will be creaking under the strain of all the people verifying or dl-ing the game this close to release, so it might not be your connection. It'll clear up in a few days.

ive just finished completeing teh campaigns in order and what can i say... its awesome!!! no more Camp'N'Spank, alot of the horde events you have to do on the move just like the demo.

Its ok but the campaigns seem to lack the immersion of the originals.

To me L4D2 is more content less soul.

My question always will be "Is it worth it?"
Is it worth me spending 40+ pound to get this game when L4D does 70% of what L4D2 does anyway...

I have it pre-ordered on Steam, and happened to be up at 12 am this morning when the calendar switched to the 17th.. Was hoping i could possibly have it unlocked and be able to get in a round before bed, but Steam kept telling me "It wasn't released yet"..

Ah well, we'll see tonite.

I did have a round of the demo one more time. I like having more variety in the special infected, and i love that machete!

In the final event as you're running through that fenced in area, i was leading the charge hacking and slashing. Got up the ladders and was out of harm's way, and then one of my team went down at the bottom. BONZAI! I lept into the fray, machete slashing clearing out the infected so i could then get my buddy up and we all got to freedom...

Except for that one whiny ***** who kept complaining that we were noobs. I let him die.

I find it hilarious how L4D acclaimed was, but when the fans head of L4D2 the reaction sounded basically like "Omg, you can't do that, L4D is still unfinished!".

Must be a true GOTY.
