I thought of another one, let's set it in Vegas-

Dead Strip
What Dies in Vegas, Stays in Vegas

You basically go on a rampage throughout a destroyed Vegas, going through a bunch of Cassinos. Don't ask me which ones though, I've never actualy been there.

In Jersey City. I don't know why but just Jersey City. I'll have to think about the fine details a little more.

I would really like to make a map of my high school. That would be fun. Three buildings, three floors each, not counting the connectors. Plenty of cover and vantage points.

I'm not sure how they would have gotten there but... the International Space Station Construction site. You have to navigate your way through the still in progress space station and at the end you get into a fairly still intact NASA headquarters where you hold off zombies to launch yourself to a colony free of the infection.
And shut up its not dead space.. well maybe it is.

Ville De Morts (City of the Dead)
Escargot's not on the menu... but BRAINS ARE (I know the infected don't eat brains, just roll with it)

The level takes place in Paris, France! You have to make your way through fancy restaurants and the catacombs, all the way to the Eiffel Tower to be rescued via zeppelin!

Here's my idea, have it set in Hollywood, and each stage is a trek through different sets of movies.
Even better, its set in Valve Studios and you play segment of each of their games.
The finale will be Left 4 Dead. Just for confusions sake.
one word:portal!!!

PORTAL AND ZOMBIES?! This can only get better if all the characters are replaced with Zoes and Alyxs!!! We demand it from Valve!

The Catacombs, good idea, but there is a thing with gas or something, you can't shoot guns there or you're fried.

I think that one in a massive toy store could be quite eerie, with plenty of blood-spattered creepy dolls.

I'm not sure about a name, or even a caption, but I would love to fight your way down, level by level, and each level has a different type of toy. Finale? You break out into the street, for a pickup/rescue.

Crescendo event? You have to start up the escalator to clear a path to the next level, or you have to set off a huge model train system.
Playing Dead.

Playtime's not over. They've got some new toys.

Havnt thought of the cheesy name for it, someone else can help me.

How bout you start in a locked apartment. The apartment would have empty food and drinks containers scattered about and a battered radio that tells you theres a train ready to take any last survivors out of town.

So:
Level 1: Apartment is actually above a food supermarket (think a large sainsburys (or wal mart if your American)). Most of the food is gone, everythings trashed and dead bodies everywhere. You fight your way out the back entrance past the lorries to a safehouse which is in a run down shop across the street.

Level 2: From the shop, you go into the back alleys of the nearby houses, you have some free access here to go through several different paths through several different gardens but eventually a destroyed army blockade forces you to a single house, which you open and sets off the house alarm, alerting the horde. From the house you move to a safehouse situated in the house next door.

Level 3: From the house, you have to move down the main road which has ruined cars, army APCs and the like. You battle your way down this road where you are forced, due to the ruins, to a tank in which the turret is facing a large wall. You have to fire the tanks cannon, blowing up the wall but alerting the horde. After fighting the horde, you go past the wall that actually leads to a large drop, you go over the makeshift bridge into some offices where the next saferoom is.

Level 4: You fight your way through the offices to the bottom floor reception, then you have to go into a hardware store across the street where the train station is just behind it. The hardware store isnt that large as the two or three floors of offices and ICT suites are quite large. The saferoom is at the back of the hardware store.

Finale:
You go from the hardware store to the trainstation, the station has several large platforms with makeshift structres hastily built around them. There is several ruined carraiges and a walkway that runs over all the platforms. There are numerous snack houses/ticket booths with the necessary supplies. The escape train on the furthest platform has broken down and needs ten minutes to fix so you need to hold off the horde.

Good idea?

Seems good, it's really well thought out. Hows abouts setting it in England or something, just so that it feels different from most of the other maps out there.

Yeah, England would be a nice touch but unfortunantly, I kinda based this in Amercia because of the pre set characters Valve have given us. If we were allowed to customise our survivors and make them all unique ( I hope they do this as much as I love the L4D gang) then i would have no problem setting this elsewhere. Just keeping within the theme :p

Theme park levels are always damn cool.
Imagine fighting off the horde in a god damn hall of freakin' mirrors!
Imagine trying to fight off the horde whilst riding one of those badass 2mph monorails.
Just loose concepts but would be awesome anyway.

Well, it doesn't meen that England is out of the picture. Actually, it'd be pretty cool if Valve decided to have the survivors travel the globe looking for refuge. It's a perfectly plausible excuse to put in some more unique levels.

My Idea is A VERY large maze that puts all of the survivors in the corners and all the zombies in the middle. That way the survivors would have a hell of a time getting together: with the zombies on their asses in a huge maze and all.

I'm gonna say a casino in vegas, I could probably come up with a witty title and tag line but I'm to lazy at this current time.
