just because it's annoying doesn't mean it wouldn't be a clever game mechanic. could you imagine running from the zombies to a safehouse and running out of energy? it adds a new level of fear to a horror game. it's like a nightmare if you're trying to run away but you just don't have the strength.Flap Jack452 said:If it's annoying why would you want to do it? it would also make the player play the game more intelligently. You'd have to conserve your energy and use it at the precise moments, such as when tanks come from around the corner or when you're running low on health and you have to sprint to the rescue point.
as much as i like running in Action movie-style and blasting zombie brain-matter all over the walls (they are my favorite type of games, actually) i think that Left 4 Dead can be so much scarier than it is.
