If it's annoying why would you want to do it? Games are supposed to be fun.
just because it's annoying doesn't mean it wouldn't be a clever game mechanic. could you imagine running from the zombies to a safehouse and running out of energy? it adds a new level of fear to a horror game. it's like a nightmare if you're trying to run away but you just don't have the strength.

it would also make the player play the game more intelligently. You'd have to conserve your energy and use it at the precise moments, such as when tanks come from around the corner or when you're running low on health and you have to sprint to the rescue point.

as much as i like running in Action movie-style and blasting zombie brain-matter all over the walls (they are my favorite type of games, actually) i think that Left 4 Dead can be so much scarier than it is.

Maybe...they could link the campaigns together like they were going to?

(Ex: At the end of No Mercy, the helicopter was suppose to crash and so began death toll)

This doesn't seem like a Sequel kinda game. I always figured they would release a ridiculous amount of download content like there was no tomorrow and just build up the pyramid until the zombie apocalypse happens you know like they have been planning all along.

1. Finite numbers of weapons and amounts of ammo in the piles (At least during versus)

2. Start tracking (so that you know if you're with an inexperienced person before the game)

3. Character Customization (For both survivors and Infected, with perks and custom "classes" [Note: Same types of abilities for survivor/infected type, but bonuses to be added {Boomers: Longer vomit range or greater explosion or longer bile time, Hunters: Greater leaping distance or greater damage or faster running speed, Smokers: More health or longer range or greater damage, Survivor: Greater speed or greater accuracy or greater damage or greater stealth or more carrying slots, ect.}]).

4. "Survival" Mode (Holding out in a house or some other setting for as long as possible with unlimited waves of zombies coming at you [especially good in versus]. Points scored for time survived.)

5. More Levels

6. Comes with a free microphone (Nothing more annoying than not being able to yell at people [and have them hear] when they screw up)

7. The ability to play as a common infected while waiting to respawn as a zombie

8. A better weapon variety

9. Larger waves of COMMON INFECTED

10. A story line(plot)

11.Fully destructable environment

12.MOre explosives

13. ironsights

14. More variety in special infected

15. Perhaps vehicles (but then that would require biggger maps so that would be BEAST)

16. MOre survivors

Oh and they could name it Left TWENTY 4 DEAD...just a thought if they made more survivors
