I have just a few questions about Zoey:

1. Do you like how the final design is, by social standards, more "beautiful" than her earlier iterations?
2. What is she like as a character? I only got to play through the demo level once, and I'm curious as to how Valve depicts nerdy college-girls.
3. Does anyone else find it odd that, while the three male characters have considerable experience with weaponry, her only qualification is that she watched a lot of horror movies?
1. She looks basically the same. Doing a compare and contrast now all I can say is she's lost the dungarees. She looks not unlike Claire Redfield.
2. Well, you don't hear much from them but she comes across as the one coming up with how to get around obstacles. She seems smitten with Louis from what I can tell.
3. Not really. The old dude is a war veteran, fair enough. Louis is IT worker in an office I believe. The guy with tattoos is a guy with tattoos and a motorbike. Bar the old dude, none of them have much experience we assume.
1. She's wearing makeup. They got rid of the freckles, got rid of the just-stopped-crying look that you rarely see even in movies, and made her face a lot less round. I dunno about you, but it makes a difference to me. They also slimmed her down a bit.

3. Bill is a vetran. Franscis openly talks about using the shotgun, (at somepoint in-game, I can't remember the exact qoute) and in a recent teaser, Louis talks about how he went to the shooting range during his lunch breaks.

i don't want to sound stupid but what is the point of left 4 dead
Basically, there's been a Resident Evil style viral utbreak, infected just about everyone in the city. There's 4 people that meet up and they have to escape. Basically like Dead Rising only with guns and less pointlessness.
Thank You, that sounds really cool

She's not wearing makeup. Who cares about whether she has freckles and a thin face really? How does that affect the game in anyway? I mean, I'm probably what you'd call a male feminist. I will speak out against sexist comments and a misportrayal of women in the media, but when you say the fact her face isn't as fat as it was previously makes it a worse game, then I think that's crossing the line a bit.

I played the demo and loved it. But I didn't care for some of the new character designs.

-I liked Louis looking like some 7-11 clerk guy. The rough beard and dark, tired expression was pretty cool.

-And Francis being a little tubbier, beardier and long hair was beyond awesome. But whatever.

Great game.
Yeah, I kind of like the old character designs better too. They're still cool, though.

So...anybody have the 360 version or am I all alone in a sea of PC-based zombie killers?

I just think it makes the game less realistic. I know my face'd be swollen, and I'd be crying my eyes out if there was a zombiepocalypse. I never said it made the game worse.
Point is, she still looks enough like me to freak me out when she gets eaten.

It wouldn't be worthwhile. It would've taken longer to rander it and code it and blah, blah, blah. When you have as many peple on the screen as you do at some pints, I think that her face is the last thing you'll be worrying about. It'll be "where's that crying come from?"

Oh, and I just found something out. You can startle the witch if you look at her too long when she's crying. That's where I've been going wrong then.

I don't have it yet, but if I do get it (I asked for it my birthday/christmas) it will be the Xbox version. And if I finally get hooked up to Live, we should play together!

I've been playing it for a while now and I love it, though Hunters seem to really like me. I've got to say I actually like the more rugged, new character models. It gives the whole Zombie apocalypse much more oomph. I always play Bill.

While the original characters were more realistic they were also problematic when it came to gameplay. Take a look at the original designs and you'll see an overabdundance of brown and loads of buckles and belts and shit that break up the character's silhouette. This means that the character doesn't stand out as much leading, in turn, to more friendly fire incidents.

On another note I prefer the new character designs asthetically as well. The originals were all grizzled looking whereas the new characters are, in keeping with the game's b-movie theme, all tropes. Louis for example is now a dead ringer (haha) for the dude from the original Night of the Living Dead and Zoey looks a lot less like an annoying goth teeny bopper.

Does anyone else absolutely love the messages in the safe-houses?
Grafiti on a roof on No Mercy, "GOD IS DEAD". Took a screenshot of it but forgot to paste it. When you think about the situation they're in it sort of shows you the near hopelessness of it all. I like them. Some pretty black humour in the safe houses too.

I liked the one graffiti on the wall where it said "I got 39...68...109 BITCHES!...53,098....<===LIES!" That made me laugh. and there was another where it said "Travel during the day, they only come out at night" Below that it said "Thats Vampires, MORON!"
