Alright, I think this is most probably the hardest achievement I've come across on the Xbox360; but lately I've been seeing alot of people with the achievement.
Is there a certain way to do this without any problems?

Me and a friend tried doing it on Versus, when was the infected they wouldn't spawn and if they did, they would just get killed.
We tried this two times but it didn't work, but for some reason on the Finale of No Mercy, another friend joined right at the end and basically did nothing and he got the achievement.

So is it really possible to do it on Versus? Maybe one wouldn't get the achievment because they pissed off the witch a little bit, but didn't actually startled her.

Any tips?

Just an idea, not too sure if it'll work. But maybe getting several friends together so that your friends are playing as both the 4 players and the special infected, then have the specials not do anything.

The way I got the achievement is just by getting 3 other people who are really good at this game and going through the campaign as quick as possible. Also, it may help if you have the full captions on that way you can hear when a Boomer or Smoker is near. And they guy who joined at the last minute got the achievement because there was a glitch called the Dashboard Glitch, which if someone joined a game from the 360 dashboard, they would get the achievement but as of Tuesday or Wednesday (This week) a patch was released to remove it. Good luck to you, this is definitely one of the hardest ones to get.

Unfortunely I can't watch that at the moment because I am at college.
Does it explain how to do the Finale?
Which is the best map to try and do it, Death Toll I would assume.
It's a review of the game for at least the first 5 minutes. I'm assuming JC Denton didn't read the OP and linked this video to try and show that Left 4 Dead is something special.

I know my friend used the rock to the left of the shore house to get untouchables. On that rock, the tanks die and the special infected do no seem to show up as often.(On easy)So try Death Toll on easy with 3 other friends and make sure to get through the campaign fast. Kill only what you need to and run the rest of the time.

Yeah, I may have to do it on that rock, but lately I've been having trouble trying to get on it. :S
But it also seems like that the hunters can still get up there and tickle you for a bit.

Having a single bot, would that help? Because I do notice that they can spot and kill the special infected before I even notice one is around.

I would think that the best way to get this is to race through No Mercy on easy. It has the less special infected of any map so I suppose it might be the best. Just run througha nd kill the infected as quick as possible is the way to go I suppose. You need a team that works together otherwise there is no way that this will work.

A link giving some hints on fighting the special infected and getting through the maps faster.

No because the bots can't get up on the rock and they won't play to your needs. The will take their time rather than rush through it and they even kill the infected that don't need to be killed.

Oh and the thing about the hunter can be avoided if you have one or two people who keeps hitting everyone else. That way if a hunter or smoker grabs someone, the hit will knock them off before they do any damage.

Does damage from the horde count when you've been thrown up on by a Boomer?

I'm pretty sure it does because if you've played verses, when the Boomer throws up on someone and the horde hits them, it will say you gamer tag hit survivor's gamer tag. So I think it does count but really for Boomers the best thing you can do is hit him and run. But if you keep hitting him, he'll go boom.

It's frickin' impossible. I guarantee that 90% of people with the achievement (including myself, I'm not proud) got it using the dashboard cheat. Even then, surviving a finale without getting hit by specials isn't exactly a cakewalk. Imagine lasting an entire campaign, then getting hit by a tank-rock on the way to the rescue vehicle. It doesn't bear thinking about.

This is also much harder to get since the patch dropped. Obviously you can't cheat any more, but even if you weren't cheating, smokers now do damage while dragging so it's MUCH harder to avoid them dealing damage.

Basically, if you didn't get this before the patch I seriously doubt you'll manage it now. Prove me wrong!

There are harder achievements on the XBox 360. Like killing 10,000 people in GOW online. If you're team works together you can do it.

It's just about tactics. Remember, shove is your friend.

I've seen what number of people on Live call 'Tactics' in GrrrrZ. Allow me to demonstrate with a play-by-play.

ROUND START
*Take out shotgun*
*roll* *roll* *roll some more*
*shoot* *roll* *roll* *shoot* Continue this process until the round ends.

the odd occasion it happens like this as well:

ROUND START
*Take out shotgun*
*roll* *roll* *roll some more*
*take cover* *wait for blind-fire oppertunity*

Hahaha. I know the feeling of getting so close just to be pounced or to be vomited on and taking damage but these mistakes only cause you to become more careful. All you need is a good team and a decent plan. By the way, I'm glad that I'm in that 10% because although it took countless tries to get it, I still wouldn't cheat to get it.

That's not hard, that's just time consuming.

Too bad the patch came out man. I got it by getting a friend to host a game on the last level on the Dead Air on campaign, i joined from the dashboard, we did the turret glitch to get on the plane and sat there till it opened. Now, well, all i can say is good luck!
