"Evaluate, as in see if you're what they want. And NATO still survives, and still has it's hierarchy; it's individual nations that are faltering."
Prant raised his eyebrows, and gave a sigh.
"You've been reading up on your colleagues, it seems. Well, they've been doing our own searching and digging... And they, for some reason, want you all. I can't say I know anymore than that- they want you, they want to use you. Simple."
Alexander found himself tiring of the waiting and looked over to Prant
"Can we get this over with already? I'm sure you can tell by now that none of us are going to do anything stupid. We have our orders, and I'm certain we can all follow them"
While he had been looking forward to ending this whole situation and getting home to his family, it was obvious to Alexander that he wasn't heading home soon but he could certainly do his best to speed up the whole process by following Prant's instructions
Daisy didn't like the idea of that at all, as she quietly sat alongside her two body guards she got a sinking feeling in her stomach. Coming to this summit was supposed to be no more than a show up and listen thing, her advisors were the one that ran the company, she had no idea how to represent and lead a company let alone the world. Not as if to say she was completely ignorant on the matter, she had her ideas on where to take the company in the future yet at the same time she was young and ignorant. Being the first to admit her inexperience Daisy hated the idea of this much pressure being on her shoulders.
"Well... what are we expected to do after this evaluation sir? I am not very well versed in the practices of politics... I- I just don't see how I can possibly help."
Prant gave a slow nod at Alexander, and replied to Daisy while staring at the door.
"You're not meant to do anything. Just do what I say, and you'll be fine. The press is through there."
Prant gave a slow nod, and walked away, disappearing down a distant corridor. Sutton gave a slow nod, and stood up.
"Right, I don't know who you people are, or your qualifications. But I think out of all of us, I seem to be the only one who can handle the press. If you want, I'll tackle all the questions you can't answer, or the imposing ones. Just follow that Prant guy's orders, be careful with your tongues, and don't screw up. M'kay, when you're ready, follow me."
Sutton walked towards the door Prant had beckoned to, and pushed it open. A flood of light hit him almost immediately, dozens of cameras simultaneously flashing in front of him. Despite the flood of light, Sutton could make out a wide table, with some water, microphones, and signs indicating where each person was to sit. He sat at the chair with his name on it, and folded his arms.
A barrage of questions came out from the journalists opposite of him- all of whom were simultaneously throwing questions at him, and flashing their cameras. He gave a sigh, and looked down in front of him, with a sheet of paper, marked 'OPENING'. Sutton quickly leant over it, and spoke into the microphones.
"Welcome to the panel... I'm Matthew Sutton. This panel has been organized to discuss the incident which occurred 2 days ago. All attendants were at the World Economic Forum, and witnessed the incident first-hand. Please direct your questions to each of us."
Sutton gave a slow nod, waiting for the first question to come.
Right, here's where things start to get slightly more open. Make up journalists throwing questions at you, and answer them. I'll even chuck questions at you myself. Your characters will be working to ensuring that they keep there words clean, and they have some formatted statements in front of them.
"Mister Evard! Alexander Evard! As a former military man, what is your take on the situation?"
A reporter near the front asked, a large fake smile on her face as she waved her notebook in the air to grab Alexanders attention.
Clearing his throat, Alexander looked directly at the young reporter, taking note of the slight flinched as she tried to focus on his good eye. This was obviously a dig to see if he would slip any information but Alexander hoped to turn it around on her
"Well, I don't see how being a military man really affects my take on the incident. I'm sure everyone here, and around the world, agrees that this was an attack on the freedom many of us are so grateful for, and a freedom that many evil men and women in certain parts of the world are not happy with"
