Because I like ruining people's good time, I'm coming here to say that I'm not preparing for ME3, because I played ME2 and thought that it sucked. It also made me think that BioWare has no idea how to make a good game. I also think that massive RPGs will always, ALWAYS, suck, because the games try to do give you too many ways to play, which leads to each of them being equally mediocre. This is why we have GENRES people.
I've even seen fans worrying about this kind of thing this time around, worrying that the game will try to accommodate the Shooter fans and the RPG fans completely, at the same time.

Oh goodness, me and my dirty mind. You just gave me so many bad images in my head of kissing and violating a game disc....I'm a horrible person. XD
Well the hole in the disc is big enough for a tongue >.>
Ok now my mind is wandering into many wrong directions.

I think violating the disc will negate the warranty. Try explaining that to the store when returning the disc when it doesn't work.

87 hours for me.

I live in the UK, and was one of the unlucky...many, who pre-ordered from Game. Now that my pre-order has been cancelled, I can no longer get the Limited Edition *sobs*

Meh, will live with standard edition...and trade in Resident Evil Revelations so I get it for about half the price.

The excitement hasn't hit me yet, but it probably will on Thursday after I get my exam results determining whether I get into Uni or not.

Hah yeah, for you maybe. Us Yurpians need to wait a couple more days. Which I don't really mind, because I haven't got time to play it properly now anyway.

Excited? Maybe, a little. I have actively ignored most of the news about ME3. I'll just wait until my CE drops in my mailbox on Thursday.

I'm really excited for Mass Effect 3, I pre-ordered the N7 edition from HMV in the UK so that means I have towait till th 9th... Well Good luck to all those people who will be playing the multiplayer tomorrow hope to see you there.

As for the previous games, i've played both Mass Effect 1 & 2 with multiple playthroughs and have just finished Mass Effect 2 on Insanity 100%, i just hope that it all counts to getting a large bonus in Mass Effect 3.

So if the ending is as bad as people are saying it is will anyone else drink the cool-aide with me at Father Kyle's biotic cult get-together?
Sorry, I'm too pumped for this game for the ending to be anything but fantastic no matter what happens in it. Though if it's so horrible that it manages to break my bias, I won't be stocking up on Dixie Cups, I'll be stocking up on pitchforks and torches.
I'll pour a 40 on Bioware's grave and go sulk alone :(
:p I'll burn their HQ to the ground and then find a buncha hippies to gather around it's smoldering ashes and sing Kumbiah(spelling).

Same here even if we get a bioware trolling ending where the reapers will win and destroy the galaxy whatever we do I WILL love it. I will see what happens but honestly i wouldn't mind a bad ending in the end.

Only a few more days to find out.
Seriously, I'm so frickin' pumped for this game, I feel like walking outside, going up to the first person I see, and slapping the right in the mouth before running/bouncing off wildly like Daffy Duck every time he has one of his loony spaz-outs.

Well i live in New Zealand so i have to wait until the 9th *grumble grumble stupid americans/canadians grumble*
Sweden, I have the same problem...you evil americans... ;-)

Then again, the place I've ordered my collector's edition have a tendency to send me the games I order so they arrive a day ahead of when they should, I like that... :-D (Though I remember getting space marine and then being unable to play it because it wasn't "avaible yet", that was a bit upsetting since I had the disc in the player...)

So, have 5 playthroughs to play there, two are with the same soldier Shepard, two with the same engineer Shepard, and I'm excited to try it all out, weapons, squadmates, mixing and matching...damn it'll be fun!

But damn, having played the demo I'm unsure what I'll be playing first, the singleplayer or the multiplayer! One I've waited for for so long, the other I know that the moment I try it again I'll be hooked for weeks, Revenant wielding soldier for the win!

The only issue is that I'll have to get back to work on Monday, that's going to suuuuuck...

Who gives a shit if you piss people off? Let them wring their hands and cry their irrelevant *****-tears about it. You're excited for a release, you want to talk about it, and so do lots of other people. Make all the threads and posts you want.

OT: I'm very excited for the release, but I unfortunately have the sheer audacity to live outside North America, so I have to wait 'till the ninth to play it. I'll be buying it first thing in the morning though, possibly at midnight if I can find a store with a midnight launch.
I'm in the same boat as you buddy. How dare we not live in America so we can be playing ME3 when it hits the shelves whenever their midnight is from now. Man I hate us right now.

If you're close to somewhere like a 24 hour Tesco or Asda you can grab it from one of those. Luckily I live a five minute walk from Tesco. My house mate & I will be grabbing it post beers thursday night.

It's what I did for Skyrim. Staff gave me a funny look & probably wanted to call me a loser.... I showed them though. 15 minutes later I was Woodelf watching a dragon burn a village to the ground... I don't know any losers that fight dragons! Do you....?

*sob*....I'm so LONELY!!!

I personally have a pre-order collector's edition over at amazon. It makes me a bit upset because amazon estimates delivery won't be until the 13th, which means a possible extra week of waiting. I am hopeful though as usually amazon over-estimates to make sure they have plenty of time, but this may not be one of those times.
Same here, Don't fear Amazon usually overestimates ETA's.
But I'm still willing to bet that tomorrow at around 4 PM (That's when the mail shows up at my house) I'll be fucking pissed.

In the meantime though I'm finishing up some ME2 playthroughs and working on my feigned illness excuse I'm going to use to get out of work for about a week so I can play ME3 with out the distractions of... you know, having to get paid.

About the hype and buzz I've spent the better part of a year trying to absorb all the negative hype possible to further reinforce the impression that ME3 will be awful on the off chance I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm still trying to decide whether or not I'm going to watch Susan's review of ME 3 (Even though she totally wasn't playing it last week _> <_<)
I'm also going to have to avoid about a billion messages from friends who will pick their copies up at stores tomorrow.

Mass Effect 3 comes out in less than 12 hours? Sorry, if I try to care I think I might pull something.

Fortunately, the games I ordered last week arrived in the mail today, so I'll be playing those with my free time :p

Hope those who get it enjoy it, and I hope the people who have been saying they're not going to buy it and buy it anyway don't hate it as much as they said they would.

Anyone else going to be waiting in line with fingers in their ears? Its bad enough that gamestop employees are tards and spoil the DLC character for those with the CE (and may not know who the character is), but I guarantee morons in line are going to be throwing spoilers around like its nothing.

I intend to bring my iPod since I was advised to show up 2 hours early to get my name on the "first come first serve" list. I'll be listening to my stoner ummm, "mellow ambient spacey techno" playlist until at last ME 3 is in my grasp.

I'm looking forward to it as a "specimen", to see how good it is. My expectations aren't too high (But I've been proven to have too low expectations. Even after Oblivion being my 2nd favourite game, I didn't expect Skyrim to be half as good as it was and it took the silver in my "best games evar" list from it), and I'm curious how BioWare's new attitude (Which I'm admittedly not too happy about) turns out. I really want to finish the story already, damn it!

I also live in Europe, which makes my release date the 6th (FRUSTRATING!)and then 3-7 more days for amazon to deliver it. Really looking forward to it. I'm racing to get through ME2, I want to have another savegame ready to go. I learned with ME2 how frustrating it is to want to re-play immediately but to have to go through the previous installment again first.
