I swear if the Escapist is going to be this way about sexualization I'm going to turn this into /v/ and start talking about waifus and hasubandos.

Now let's move on, this thread was created to talk about something other than the sexualization issue, was it not? Surely that's not the only thing worth talk about about the game right now, is "Killing Children" round 2.

Anyway...yeah. =x This thread was kind of specifically to get away from looking at how sexualized the game is or isn't and looking more at the game itself.

I find the art style, characters design (empowered women) and the animation appealing compare to the Japanese fighting games like Street Fighter, Tekken, King of Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, Dead or Alive and etc.

It's quite a welcome change of things since excluding Mortal Kombat there haven't that many successful fighting game that didn't originate from Japan.

Hmm, looking at Bloody Maries artwork gives me a Zappa (Guilty Gear) vibe. Be interesting to see a character that plays like that. Make for an interesting boss character with the ability to summon spirits and just cluster fuck the opponent with ghosts and other apparitions for deadly pressure and mix-ups.

I find the art design literally nausiating, aside from that I find something about the giant tits annoying. I mean I get having someone like Mai in KOF being the "titty character" but all of them having racks ranging from big to huge? I-just-that's, can't we have a skull girl with a reasonably sized chest?

...=x The only Skull Girl is Bloody Marie, and she's flat as a board.

So is Peacock. Filia and Painwheel aren't that big either.

Edit: Neither is Ms. Fortune. She just shows more underboob than is necessary.

In the character bios. Also, Bloody Marie isn't there. It looks like she won't be playable after all.

Well...the only person who really should be an adult that isn't is Cerebella.

Filia and Painwheel are (were) schoolgirls, and Peacock is 13. But she's unfanservice-y. Unless you like looking at a 13 year old's bloomers.

But! The one I like the most is...you can choose either one character, or a team of three. If you pick only one character and the opponent picks three, then your one character will be powered up to the point where they can actually take on three opponents at once. Wanted a fighting game to do that for so long...

Why have you been waiting? I know Capcom vs SNK 2 had this, and there's probably games before it that did too. In "Ratio Battle" you choose up to three characters and distribute four points among them - the more points on a character, the stronger they are. So it could be a lvl 4 guy vs two lvl 1 guys and a lvl 2 guy. I used to just pick Ken and Ryu with two each. Love the karate guys.
