The only thing that keeps me from going on a "the world sucks and so does everyone in it" murder rampage is my shotgun. The only reason why i'm happy, shotgun. The only reason i haven't lost TOTAL faith in humanity, shotgun. People have these dreadful outlooks on life for a reason and those reasons are mostly true or great. Oh and how dare you ask people to find the good in their existence. Thats just wrong.

I know, it's just unfair. What about the poor chump(read: me) who has almost no good in their existence?

I don't get worked up about anything; I'm pretty passive about anything regarding modern society, politics or culture. Nothing really fazes me, as I can have a view on something that's only mine and no one else's. I have some strong ideas about historical events and/or people. But the main thing is - and people, take what I have to say to heart - this:

I care more about getting along than being right, so I hope that's something that a lot of other Escapists have within themselves.

Bear in mind that research suggests that people with an optimistic outlook tend to have more success in life.

Well, as a pessimist, I think humans are pretty sad compared to other animals. Otters don't go around making nukes to kill other otters eh? And beetles don't exactly argue whether Intelligent Design is real or not. I think the world we live in is just cynical. Whenever I ask someone I never met for something, they tell me to get lost. All I can say is, "What's your problem, did I do anything to you?"
