[HEADING=1]The Story Of Jerry Stowley[/HEADING]
Getting kicked out of my home wasn't the worst part of my week. No that award would go to be chased and pratically ripped to shreds by three Deathclaws. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I'll start with who I am. My name is Jerry Stowley and I was raised on a Brahmin farm untill the age of 13 when the farm was raided by some weird raiders who called themselves the vipers. During my childhood I was taught how to survive in the wastes and some pre war stuff too. Oh yeah I have a dog called Terror who still remains my companion to this day. Now when we were raided I was forced into losing my innocence and killing the raiders with my father and brothers. However my father gained injuries too severe to be treated and died. MY mother, now stricken with despair, had to try and handle me and my 3 siblings. When we saw she couldn't one of my brothers, the eldest, took me and my sister to Megaton. Fast forward 12 years and I'm framed by the church of atom and kicked out of Megaton. They said I had broken into the armory and shut down that stupid robot in front of the town. In truth he was just faulty and one of the local engineers (Who looking back did look a lot like me) thought he should reboot it via the terminal in the armory. Now your all caught up. So I left home with some supplies, my sawed-off shotgun called the Kneecapper (It apparently belonged to this famous wastlenader who purified our water) and my trusty dog, Terror and thus began my hunt for a new home.

So any thoughts? If it seems short, thats because it is and I only meant for it to be a sample of what it could be like.
Seems interesting, looking forward to future entries.

However, you should really spell check that, because there are a lot of mistakes.

Also, hate to be nitpicky, but there are no Vipers on the east coast, they're a west coast raider gang.
Yeah sorry. Looking back the mistakes I made were ridiculous but hey, sleep deprivation does that to you. Also with the viper thing, I probably should have done research on them I guess.

So the feedback was generally good. Hope you enjoy.

[HEADING=1]The Story Of Jerry Stowley[/HEADING]
Dear Diary. Today I experienced the joys of having my limbs painfully extracted from my torso A.K.A I was nearly pulled apart by a Yao Gui. How did this happen? Well more on that in a minute. Now when I left Megaton I realized that there was a vault nearby. However as I got closer to the vault I realised the number of skeletons was increasing untill I came to an intact corpse which had a strange device on its lower left arm. A Pip-boy I think its called. I learned a bit about them but not much. As such I never understood the purpose. Anyway it seems it had a recording on it which went something like this.
[Start of recording]
Voice 1: Hey come on Fred, let us back in!
Voice 2: Yeah its getting cold out here and we're hungry!
Voice 3:(Muffled) I'm not letting you back in.
Voice 1: Why not? Listen, Jokes over, Let us back in!
Voice 4: Butch open the damn door! I think some raiders are coming!
Voice 3: Too bad. Should have thought of that before messing with the Tunnel Snakes!
Voice 5(Probably the Raider): Well Lookey here. Whats the matter? Locked out your vault? I'll help.
Voice 1: What? Wait what are you doing? Hey lower the gu-(Several gunshots before silence)
[End of recording]
So naturally I try to enter the vault. However not before removing the Pip-boy off the arm of the corpse(don't ask how, but lets say it involved removing that certain limb) and recalibrating it to suit myself. I managed to guess the password to the vault and entered. I didn't fully know what to expect but I imagined it would be dirty, dark and cold. I was right about the first and last but the lighting was alright. So I travelled around the vault with all of it being run down and dirty as if no one has cleaned it for several years. When I reached the living areas and found a vault 101 jumpsuit I realised that the so called Hero of the Wastes, The Lone Wanderer, had had his home turn to shit. That was when I was confronted by a middle age man or maybe he was younger or older. Basically he had a long white beard and he wore a vault jumpsuit but he had a leather jacket over the top which had a snake on the back. He didn't say a word, but instead he just nodded to the way I came. After five minutes of us staring at each other, and the man slowly growing more irritated, I started to walk back to the entrance when suddenly I felt a bang against my head and blacked out.
I presume the old man took me following his instructions the wrong way and decided to try and give me brain damage. So then I wake up, still having all my items on me, and I decide to investigate where the crazy bastard had left me when I realised there was nothing near me and I mean nothing. No collasped building, no towns, just the wasteland. Then I hear a roar and see a Yao Gui charging in my direction. Naturally I pulled out Kneecapper, when it dawned on me that the mutated bear was too far away to be shot effectively and if he got close I would find it difficult to hit it. So I got my other weapon. My baseball bat. Suprise suprise, I was clawed at and bitten untill the Yao gui figured it couldn't eat me whole so it tried to tear off my arms and legs. Luckily I managed to whack it on the head which dazed it, giving me a chance to run. Of course I didn't get very far untill the beast caught up. However its turned out a trader was travelling by and saw me in a bit of a pickle and scared of the Yao Gui by shooting it. Thank god to Nomads!

So would anyone say it has improved? Or maybe its gotten worse. Also anyone have anything they would like me to include in a future story?

Better, better. I will say that it rambles a bit. But otherwise, I think it's an improvement. So that's good. On the Busy Street scale, I give it a +1.5

Double, maybe triple update today if I have the time. Can't believe we're almost done with the game.

[HEADING=1]Lily's Log - Point Lookout/Mothership Zeta[/HEADING]
My trip to Point Lookout didn't go quite as planned. Honestly, I didn't even think about what I was going to do when I got their. It just so happened to be my luck that I got dragged into yet another conflict...

As I approached the ferry, but before I could talk to the owner of the boat. I was interrupted by a woman. She said her daughter stowed away on the boat to Point Lookout. She asked me to find her. I didn't make any promises, but I said I'd talk to her if I found her.

Something seemed off about the owner of the boat, but I didn't think much of it at the time. I bought the ticket to Point Lookout, and we began the long journey down the river.

Point Lookout is an eerie place. Apparently, it was never actually blown up during the Great War, but years of massive radiation and fallout have taken their toll. It's very empty compared to the Capital Wasteland, unless you count the crazed locals and tribals.

There was a mansion up near a cliff that was on fire. I foolishly assumed that it was abandoned at first, so I explored the place. Turns out, there was a ghoul by the name of Desmond who was living in there at the time. He defending himself against some of the tribals, I was caught right in the middle of an attack. Having no other choice, I helped him defend the building.

Despite me helping him, he was rather rude. He offered me a job, said he would reward me for helping him. More caps couldn't hurt, right? He wanted me to investigate the local tribe, and the only way I was going to be able to do that was to join the tribals and find their leader.

It wasn't the best idea, but it was really the only option that I had at the time. The tribals wanted me to go through some sort of ritual in the bog. Something about a giant Punga plant of some sort. I got close to the plant, but was immediately gassed and knocked unconcious. I had the strangest hallucination afterward.

I woke up outside the bog, without the faintest clue of what had happened. The tribals simply let me into the catedral afterwards, no questions asked. I found Nadine there, and told her her mom was looking for her. She left the catedral after I did in the direction of the pier. I assumed she was going to go back on the ferry to go home. I talked to the leaders of the tribals, who was hiding out in a cove underneath the catedral. It turns out he was really being told to attack Desmond by the orders of a man named Calvert.

Well, less of a man and more of a floating brain. Not really sure how that works, honestly.

I returned to tell Desmond about it, and apparently, he already knew that this Calvert man was behind this. He could have saved me some time if he just told me otherwise. He wanted me to put something that would stop him from communicating with the tribals of the area on the ferris wheel that was on the pier.

When I returned from that job, I was met with a nasty surprise. As approached the house, it exploded like a bomb. The force of the blast knocked me to the ground. Normally, I would be certain that Desmond is dead, but he mentioned something about a panic room earlier. There was a hatch inside the rubble, and Desmond was inside the room. Angry, but very much alive. Desmond knew where Calvert was hiding, underneath the lighthouse of Point Lookout.

There was a huge lab underneath the lighthouse, it was quite impressive. I'm not entirely sure what it was used for, but there were some interesting pieces of technology scattered across the place. Desmond confronted Calvert, and Calvert suggested that I would kill Desmond for him instead. While I did not like Desmond much at all, I certainly wasn't going to come all this way just to backstab him. I defeated Calvert, collected my reward, and left.

Turns out the owner of the ferry knocked me unconcious at the bog and cut out a chunk of my brain. Nadine had found up, and had locked him up the lower part of the ship. I went down in there to talk to him, and he just outright attacked me.

Nadine took control of the ship, and we sailed back to the Capital Wasteland. I had the strangest dream on that boat, something about aliens, I can't quite recall.

Oh well. It doesn't matter anyways.

Because this is both a mod, and part of Mothership Zeta, it is out of the LP's 'canon'. We will be going straight into Broken Steel after this.

[HEADING=1]Mini-Update - This Almost Makes Up For Zeta[/HEADING]
So, we willingly subjected ourselves to Mothership Zeta, and what do we have to show for it? A few shiny guns that we can throw into the already slowly amassing pile that is our weapons stockpile. That's it.

There has to be something we can get out of this. Something has to make this all worthwhile...

Mothership Zeta Crew [http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8747]

This is a really, really great mod. Consider this the section mod showcase, just for this single mod right here.

So now, we're back. They really didn't put in the effort to clean up any of the alien corpses.

Also, don't they have better things to do than hang in orbit around Earth? I mean, they have a fucking space ship.

This button activates the mod's questline, we need to start the quests to get access to the new parts of the ship that the mod adds.

So now we're right back in the Capital Wasteland.

The mod adds new locations in the Capital Wasteland as well. This place isn't too far off from the Zeta beacon, and besides, you can automatically fast travel there anyway.

Let's see what's going on down here.

Holy shit, that's a lot of Super Mutants. There are two Behemoths, and a ton of Brutes and such.

Wading right into the group is a bad, bad idea.

They're not the huge kind, they're the moderately large kind. Enough to fit in the room.

Let's try this again, the smart way.

This computer console should do the trick...

And there goes all of the super mutants. How convenient.

Apparently the blast blows this door of its hinges.

There are all of these Enclave Officers held up in here. Things may get ugly...

This is like the only random NPC in the game that's actually heard of us and it's from a mod.

"The Enclave, huh? Are you going to keep calm or do I have to start shooting?"

The mod only has one dialogue option for most of the conversations but it's voiced at least.

"You don't have to worry about that. We are not subject to the presidential commands."

I don't know if you've heard, but he's dead.

"And what exactly does that mean?"

"We've had our.. differences with the high command. You could say we are no longer an official part of the Enclave."

"Ah, I see... Defectors."

"We are not defectors! We stand true to the Enclave vision! We want to restore order to the land."

Mhmm, oh it's that excuse.

"But Autumn's methods are too extreme!"

Yet another dead Enclave leader. You would think they would leave the Capital Wasteland, but nope.

"He's anaged to turn all the local residents against us!"

Yes, that tends to happens when you pick random people and start shooting them.

"His actions don't respond to any kind of logic."

"What about the President?"

Again, not a problem.

"The president... I hate to admit it, but, charismatic as he is, he's too distant. His speeches are all nice words, but the orders we get from Autumn are all a different matter. We couldn't even contact him. We've had enough."

"So, you and this small group of officers left the Enclave alone?"

"Oh no! There's a large number of dissident voices in the Enclave, and I had my big share of influence. After a careful selection of the troops, I've managed to take my full company with me. We are about 200."

"And where are they now?"

"They have answered our distress call and are heading our way as we speak. Don't worry, you're completely safe amongst us."

Well, we've fought our way through worse.

How did they get trapped in here anyway?

"200 is quite a sum to leave unnoticed..."

"Who said we left unnoticed? The Enclave is hunting us down. We expected to join the Brotherhood of Steel, but..."

"...they're a bunch of self-centered fanatics who trust no-one out of their ranks."

To be fair, I wouldn't expect the Brotherhood just to recruit a bunch of Enclave dissidents who show up out of nowhere.

"You've quite summed it up, yeah. So, we now find that BOTH the Presidental faction of the Enclave and the Brotherhood of Steel are after us. I've led my troops out of the Enclave, only to be left with nowhere to go. I have failed them as their commanding officer."

"This seems a bit too convenient for my taste, but I might have a way out for you."

Oh hell yes.

"What do you mean? The only thing that could help us now is to vanish from the face of Earth!"

"Interesting choice of words. This is exactly what I have to offer."

On top of us already being a walking army, now we get a real army on top of that?

"I beg your pardon? I don't think I really follow you..."

"May I interest you into becoming a god?"

"..."

I thought the game crashed right here, but actually...

The game goes into epilogue mode. They basically summarize what happens, and then skip ahead to six months later. Not sure if it actually effects the in-game clock.

Look at our new outfit.

Harkin has a nice new outfit too. Finally, after an entire game of taking other people's crap, we get the respect we rightfully deserve.

"Give me a status report."

"During your absence, we have continued our ship cleansing, repair and exploration duties, just as you requested. Perhaps there are still a few remnant aliens on board, but they will soon be taken care of. For the restorational, talk to the lead technician."

So, basically you're given info about what's currently going on in the ship. The changes made to the ship are rather large, new areas added, some changed, etc.

Paulson and Somah are still gone forever though.

"Is there anything wrong?"

"There is a problem with the door locks and teleporters. We have lost access to most of the ship decks. There's quite a large number of crew members isolated in the Crew Quarters and the Living zone, and... Well. The lead tech will tell you about it."

"Where can I find him?"

"He's at the engine core. Be careful down there commander, it's a bit... messy."

Even more than before?

"I'll go and talk to him."

"Of course, commander. I will be right here for anything you need."

Sally and the others who hang around the ship normally get new clothes too, but there is no actual dialog changes.

Some parts of the ship are still blocked off of course.

The technicians can be seen working on fixing up the ship.

You can tell this guy is the leader because of his white suit, rather than black one.

"I've been told there's been a problem with the doors and teleporters."

"Oh, yeah. There was a little incident with williamson. You see, the idiot didn't properly power off a plasma generator before opening the lid."

It's odd how much they suddenly know about this tech.

"The resulting energy burst just sent him flying into the air, from the bottom floor to the second floor. He even bounced on the ceiling. Quite a sight." Anyway, that generator was somehow related to the doors and teleporters. We were lucky it wasn't life support. We wouldn't be speaking right now."

Speaking of that, did you get rid of the easily activated "Kill everyone in this section of the ship" button?

"Can it be fixed?"

"In order to restore access to the rest of the ship I'm going to need several items of great importance. To begin with, I'll need 300 fission batteries. Also 25 scrap metal pieces, a plunger and a bent tin can."

...

"You've got to be kidding me!"

"Of course I am! It was a simple problem. It has already been solved. All doors are functional and the teleporters are up and working again."

Thankfully.

"Here, take this Keycard. It should grant you access to the rest of the ship. Enjoy!"

"Good work, but remember who you're talking to. Watch your jokes."

"Sorry commander, it won't happen again, I promise. Now if you'll excuse me I have to make sure that these idiots don't cause another explosion."

So now a new section of the ship has opened up. It's all of the living quarters of the crew and such.

This is our room. Nice, ain't it?

I'm pretty sure the only area in the actual game where this bed is located is Dukov's Place, but I could be wrong.

INTERACTIVE SHOWERS!

This is our command room. Somehow, the skybox looks less shit.

We can use the computer in order to call Harkin into the room.

"Anything to report, lieutenant?"

"I have a report from one of our science squads. They seem to have found something interesting down on the hangers. They insist into making a demonstration for you, commander. They said something about supplies. You might want to check."

Sure, why not?

We won't be doing the entirety of the mod, I'm sorry to say. It's rather large and it would take a rather long time to show off all of the cool things about it.

There are a variety of rooms for the various commanders of the crew.

I rather like this one in particular.

This is the hub room for all of the teleporters. There are a lot of them.

This is the particular one we need to use.

There are some nice touches all around on this mod, like being able to see some of the NPC's through windows on the floor, etc. Have to wonder what the purpose of those are, aside from looking cool?

That's a pretty cool looking ship.

"Is this about the ships? Can we use them? Or you wanted to show me the paintjob?"

It's a nice paintjob.

"The ships? Oh, no! We don't know how they work... yet. It's not about the paint job either. That was the soldier's doing..."

"I should have known... So, what is it?"

"It's something that will considerably help in the task of restoring the ship. If you come with me, I'll show you what I mean."

"Lead the way then."

"Splendid! This way, please..."

Something seems fishy about this whole thing...

That's a pretty huge teleporter. Let's get inside it, what's the worse that could happen?

Oh crap, cave full of Deathclaws...

That's a fucking huge Deathclaw.

Hrm, where am I now? What's that in the distance?

What's the music playing in the background-

OH GOD, I'M IN OBLIVION!! TURN BACK, TURN BACK, ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN THAT!

And then we're warped 100 feet above Old Olney...

I'd still say splatting on the ground is better than being subjected to Oblivion...

And now we're back. The whole sequence rather reminds me of the teleporter mishap in Half Life 2.

...

"YOU IDIOT! You almost killed me with your little... *cough* What's with my voice?"

This is just another entry in the long line of horrible things that have happened to us over the course of the game.

"God! Look at yourself!..."

"GAAAGH! What have you done to me, you goddamn son of a *****?!"

"It wasn't my fault! A piece of the machine came down when..."

"I don't care about your pathetic excuses! Fix me now!"

"Y...yes! Yes! Just step into the telelporter and we'll try to rematerialize you!"

Well, things can't get any worse...

Right?

Now we're back to normal now.

"What the fuck happened back there?!"

"O... one crystal loosened when we activated the device, and was teleported with you. It was a vital piece of the machine... The Sandcroomie!"

"The what?!"

"The Sandcroomie! It's a crystal that acts as a long-range morphic field regulator, and also allows the machine to focus on the given coordinates. That's why you seemingly teleported to random locations and reappeared in a... er... genetically altered form."

"So, we need that thing to make the teleporter work again?"

"Yes, without it, this teleporter is no different from the others in the ship. Fortunately, we know where it was teleported to, and it's not far away."

By not far away, I think he means within this galaxy.

"Good. And where is it?"

"Ehm... At the... Deathclaw Sanctuary."

Not a big deal then.

"..."

"..."

"I'll go and fetch the... "whatever" back. But you better make this thing work!"

"O... of course, commander."

But, that's it for the Mothership Zeta Crew mod. For now at least. If you don't have it installed, I'd definitely recommend it. It actually makes the prospect of playing through Zeta almost bearable.
So, Skyrim is coming out Friday. You guys looking forward to it?

Nah... I'm going to be playing Deus Ex Human Revolution when I go back home.
That, and I never really got into Oblivion. So no. Besides, I know next to nothing about the ES universe, and have no real desire to learn. But hey, to whoever gets it: Have fun.

Not particularly. Oblivion was always the kind of game that seemed way more fun in my head than actually playing it. I tried multiple times to get through it, but the majority of the times I end up quitting it do to either the broken leveling system or boredom.

Skyrim looks better as far as the leveling goes at least, if what they say is true. Don't really care too much for it though, I'll definitely at least give it a rent.

I quit as well. It did feel broken and boring. Good thing I got it on sale. I found Fallout 3 and New Vegas to be far more fun.

Also, can you link my post about why bottle caps as money makes sense [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.306987-Poll-Lets-Play-Fallout-3-Mini-Update-This-Almost-Makes-Up-For-Zeta?page=23#13073326] to the front page, if it's not too much trouble?

Yeah, I can certainly do that.

Despite me really not liking it, I've bought Oblivion like three times. Bought and sold the retail GOTY version before I had a decent computer, bought the Steam GOTY version on sale along with Morrowind GOTY (Which is a game I actually like) and then ended up buying the 5th Anniversary Edition that came out, due to me being really hyped for Skyrim at the time. As you can tell, that hype has long since died down.

I think I hated the leveling system the most. It wasn't very user friendly. I'd say Fallout was much better with that.

Oh, and the magic-combat system seems a little silly to me. I dunno why.

Nope, heck, I'm more excited for MW3 to be honest. The fact that "dragons" is one of the major selling point is kinda stupid to me. If I want to play a fantasy game with dragons I'll go play Spyro, or one of the million other fantasy games with dragons in it.

The game I'm looking forward to the most is the Japanese (and subsequent English) release of Warriors Orochi 3.

[HEADING=1]The Story Of Jerry Stowley[/HEADING]
Voice 1: Hey come on Butch, let us back in!

It´s better, I think, but didn´t Butch left the Vault in the original game? After Trouble in the Homefront quest? Or are you talking about the 1 or 2 squeletons in the cave after the Vault door? Because those aren´t from Vault Dwellers, those are from Wastelanders (most likely).

Isn't that a Dynasty Warriors-esque game?

On a side note, what is everyone else playing lately? I've been playing Dark Souls and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.

It's a Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors crossover series, with a bunch of new characters added in from Japanese and Chinese mythology. Warriors Orochi 3 is also adding Joan of Arc (from Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War), Achilles (from Warriors: Legends of Troy) and Ryu Hayabusa (from Ninja Gaiden). When you get right down to it the WO games are basically fanservice games...and good ones :D

On a side note, what is everyone else playing lately? I've been playing Dark Souls and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
Destroy All Humans!, Dynasty warriors 6: Empires and Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One.

I thought Butch only left if you chose to destroy the generator. If you didn't he wouldn't leave because he's afraid. Or at least thats what I thought. As for the skeletons, I know in Fallout 3, they were not vault dwellers, but these stories take place in the future after everyone has started wandering out of the vault.

No, he leaves anyway, and somehow survives to the trip to Rivet City. You should try to retcon that little fact, just for the sake of the canon.

[HEADING=1]Chapter LXII - Fallout 3: ¡En Español![/HEADING]
Now it's time to start Broken Steel. There is no starting off point in Broken Steel similar to the other DLC. It just kind starts after the main story ends.

We return to the Citadel. We'll be backtracking here a lot.

Nothing has changed at all, aside from a few Aqua Pura crates here and there.

We've been on our feet for quite a while now.

"I assume Lyons is immediately throwing you to the wolves?"

Can the Enclave even be considered wolves anymore? At this point, their threat level to us is about the level of a blind cat.

"Has he told you what's been going on while you've been resting?"

"All I know is that you need my help. Again."

Yes, I get awfully snippy with the Broterhood with the dialogue options in this update.

"It would seem that way, yes. If you would, please step over to the map. I'll give you a brief update on what you've missed."

Not again...

He has to use the fucking screen again, for some reason.

Basically, he tells us that the Brotherhood's forces are gathered up and for some reason he wants us to help out.

It's not going to be short trip, not at all.

It's the westernmost part of the map. Normally if we hadn't been to those places, this would be a hell of a walk, but thankfully fast travel makes it much easier.

The Dunwich Building is our closest fast travel point.

It's much like the entrance to The Pitt, a tunnel at the edge of a map. We can see some fighting going on in the distance, wonder what it is?

It's an Albino Radscorpion fighting a Brotherhood Paladin. Let's see who wins...

Before we can intervene, the scorpion kills the Paladin.

It's like the other tunnels, the entrance is filled with all sorts of piping and such.

A ton of ammo to leave just lying around. Oh well, they're not going to need it anyway.

The Brotherhood has a base set up in the train tunnel. Nothing of much interest here, aside from some crates.

If you've played any Oblivion, then you'll probably recognize this guys voice as all of the guardsmen. I half expecting him to shout stop right there criminal scum.

"Some of us were starting to wonder if you and Sarah were going to pull through."

We're the protagonist, of course we're going to pull through.

Note that if you send Sarah into the purifier, she dies whether you have Broken Steel installed or not.

"How about we skip the pleasantries and get to work."

"Well... All business now, are we? Fine. Word has it the Enclave has a base on the other side of this tunnel operating as a communications hub, so we're here to burn 'em out. We break them here, they might just give up for good."

I doubt that.

"So as soon as I give the word, we move out."

Why do we need to be here again?

Broken Steel has this problem even more than the main quest does. The Brotherhood doesn't need you at all. The chores they send you on could just as easily be accomplished by sending a random paladin to do it.

"Okay, I'm ready to go."

"All right. You stay back with me and keep safe. Once we've reached the facility, we'll talk about who does what. Until then, we do this by the numbers. Same strategy has worked just fine for the last two weeks."

Hide behind the robot, loot the mess he leaves behind, got it.

"Let's get moving. Things should be underway by now."

Have fun staying behind and watch all the others do all the work.

So this area has it's own tiny map outside the Capital Wasteland. It's really not much aside from a road and an Enclave base.

And here's Liberty Prime, to spoil everyone's fun. If you were expecting to be able to lead the charge, you would be wrong.

It was cool during the taking of the purifier, but here it's just obnoxious.

Liberty Prime just slowly moves along, wiping out everything in it's path.

There's a neat little scan effect on the building, while Prime targets it.

He throws another one his nuke footballs...

And opens up the side of the building.

So, just when Liberty Prime seems to be a bit too powerful for the Enclave, the Enclave pulls this out of their ass...

Oh shit, run!

So the Enclave can call missiles down from orbit now, neat.

Why haven't they used this thing before?

Prime should be able to withstand that, I mean-

Oh...

And so ends the life of a plot device. A rather funny plot device, but a plot device none the less...

The Brotherhood is probably like "What now?".

"There's no time to talk - get your ass inside that base, and help the troops locate the source of their transmission. Now soldier, NOW!"

"Hey, wait! You said you didn't need my help!"

Then why are we even here?

"Yeah, well that was before they blew up our one advantage. Consider it a field promotion. Now get going!"

Why do we have to do everything around here?

Conviniently there is a door on the other side of the wall Prime blew open.

There are thankfully no Hellfire Troopers. Those guys really aren't fun to fight, especially when grouped up with other Enclave troopers.

Especially considering how much weaponry, armor and ammo we've collected, these guys really just are a waste of bullets. They pose no challenge, they just kind of get in the way.

You know, this is pretty damn pathetic for an Enclave base...

There is an awful lot of them swarming us though.

There are a lot of stairs here, pretty much with Enclave harassing us constantly.

We level up, as well. One more level to go before the cap.

We're close to max'ing out Barter. That will be the last skill we max.

Another Intense Training level, I put it in Strength because why not?

The Brotherhood practically sweeps through the place unopposed.

I guess the power armor isn't much use against small arms anymore...

We finally get to where we need to go, to hack this computer terminal. It only took about 100 dead Enclave soldiers to get here.

We get more intel on the Enclave for the Brotherhood. At least the entire mission wasn't an absolute failure...

We take a door, and it randomly leads out into the Capital Wasteland. I'm not really getting the layout here.

Notice the bottom left, the Citadel courtyard is referred to as "El patio de la Ciudadela". I don't know what's up, as it's only this particular cell that is renamed.

"I'm still waiting on the debriefing from Tristan, but I'm not sure it even matters. With Prime gone..."

We cleared that building of Enclave just fine. Did we even need that goddamn robot?

"It could've been worse. They could have attacked the Citadel."

"Well, there's certainly nothing stopping them from doing that now, is there? And with our primary defense gone, I don't know what we can do to stop them."

Bullets work.

"I need more to work with."

"Maybe you can focus on analyzing this data instead of crying about your robot."

Yeah, I know I'm picking the dickish options but I just like to think that the player character gets more and more fed up with the Brotherhood's bullshit.

"Well, I... You're right. There's no time to focus on what's passed. With Liberty Prime gone, the Enclave will be quick to seize the opportunity to regroup. I'll get the Scribes working on this right away. You should report to Elder Lyons. See if there's some way we can salvage this mess of an operation."

Now let's go find Lyons, to talk to.

"With our primary weapon destroyed, we risk losing our momentum and jeopardizing the entire campaign. I must admit, I now wonder moving ahead with this operation was an error in judgement."

"Well, it's too late to turn back now."

"You're right, which is precisely my concern. We have pushed the Enclave, and now it seems they are pushing back, much harder than we expected."

The Enclave are total pushovers, why are you people having trouble with them?

"If we cannot identify and neutralize this new threat, we have little hope for success. It's already cost us our greatest weapon."

"That doesn't sound like much of a leader talking."

"Please, do not presume to tell me my place, or how I should act. I am well aware of my responsibilities. Now, if we're through, you need to report to Paladin Tristan. He has another assignment for you."

"Unfortunately, we don't have time to sit around and wait for the analysis. Based on what U've seen of you so far, there's an assignment I believe you're well suited for."

That could practically mean anything.

"Any job you've got, I can do."

There needs to be "The faster I can get this over with, the better" option.

"I hope that's true. With all of the Brotherhood's resources committed to protecting against an Enclave attack, we're spread thin."

Wait, why would they be spread thin in that case? Wouldn't they just want to bunch up and protect the Citadel?

"So thin that we can't spare anyone to research a new weapon that might help us against the Enclave's vertibirds. At least, until now. From information we've gathered, it seems what we need may be located in the Olney Powerworks, north of the city."

So, our job is to be the person who gets to be mauled by Deathclaws. Awesome.

"You want me to go all the way to Olney?"

"I need you to go there, and quickly."

By quickly he means whenever it is most convinient to us.

"That's the best chance to locate a key piece of experimental equipment, called a Tesla Coil."

More SCIENCE! stuff.

"Information we've gathered suggests it's the best place to look for one, and for what the Scribes are cooking up, it's absolutely essential. If you can find one, get it back here right away. We don't have much time."

Well, I guess we're off to get mauled by Deathclaws. Sounds like fun.

Ok, I'm done

Sucks for the Brotherhood I guess, eh? Also, how is Dark Souls? Are you enjoying it?
