He?s going down in a ring of fire.

This calls for some music.

Gotta say, I like Lundgren?s purple armor.

Yus!

Double Yus!

A few save states later.

No, It shouldn?t. Rest in Hell.

It?s over, Bitches! Time for the main Story!
Fuck yeah, let?s do this!

Question of the day: What did you think of the prologue? You excited for the main story?
Wait, that was just the prologue?

20 more chapters, not counting the side ones. And they're longer than most of the prologues chapters.

[HEADING=2]Let?s Play Fire Emblem: Chapter 11: Taking Leave[/HEADING]

Ah? A fresh start with some fresh units.

980 years? That?s really fuckin long time not to fight anyone. Hell, we can?t go a few year without fighting anyone. Also why not 1000 years? Did you want to be different?

I KNOW, mom. Jeez.

The Epic Journey of two men on a quest.

Not even lowen has faith in his own abilities, what do you expect Eliwood to think.

In the opening chapters of a Fire Emblem game? Who would have thought?

Contracted the text virus from Lyn?

Unfortunately, I left my shotgun back in the village.

In the Flesh, Bitches!

It does.

She?d die to the generic guy in the first mission.

Plot Convenience.

Like the Mani Katti, but suckier.

Average stats, average growths. Don?t expect much.

Ok, old man, Let?s see what you can do.

Dayum. B rank in axes despite only being a level 1 paladin.

Seriously though, his growths aren?t very good so he?s not great in the long run. He?s a crutch character for new players and or for use on the hardest mode.

Our third and final cavalier of the game, Lowen. Unlike Sain (who?s strong) or Kent (who?s fast), Lowen is
Defensive. He?ll can cap HP and def if you?re lucky and his resistance is good, but his offenses are
sub-par. He?s like a light mobileTankish unit, good for frontline duty, but not for killing.

Rebecca?s like wil, but sacrifices defenses and some strength for speed and luck.

The only other Rapier in the game is in chapter 28, so save it?s uses.

Pimp dodge.

Free energy ring, awesome!

Bartre, I heard you?re got good speed growths for a fighter and you seem pretty awesome.
I think I?ll use You.

Or maybe not. Come on, 3 speed? No speed growth is worth that.

Excuse me, sir. You seem to have stuck your act in my hair.

Awesome.

Slow archer.

Eliwood, your growths are meh, so these items will help.

Somehow, Eliwood got every important stat in one level up.

Eliwood, why aren?t you sucking?

Well, that?s a lot of money. Also, only vulneraries?

I will never use these.

Time to abuse the boss? health regain and lack range to farm exp.

Pheraen Knights?! In Pherae?!

Well, speed?s pretty important.

Rebecca need?s these more.

Actually, Eliwood needs the defense. He?s a frontline unit, after all.

Hmm. Have I seen you?

Wait. You?re the piss salesman! What are you doing here?

If there?s killing to be done, I?m your man.

Wait, the Piss Salesman has a daughter?

There will be picnics though.

Bismillah, No! We Will not let you go!

Why not Zoid-, I mean, Fire Emblem?
Because Fire Emblem games tend to have large wars and/or world changing calamities. That said studing magic at a university or some shit like that would be awesome.

That's easy: Pokemon. I'll hang out with my Psyduck and my Sandslash and be awesome like that.

Any game? Probably Ivalice from Final Fantasy 12. I have always liked that setting, especially the airships.
To be fair, Final Fantasy worlds tend to have their shit ruined by all-powerful evil beings. I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be entrusting my fate to some random warriors chosen by fate that I've never met.

True, but you could say that about most any fantasy world. Ivalice is kind of in a state of cold war between two empires, but after the events of 12, they seem to be getting on pretty well.
Good point. I haven't played 12, myself. My PS2 can't read discs anymore. Was it good?

Ivalice did have the videogame come to life charm. I only played through FFTA & FFTA2, but not FF12

Fan reaction was mixed. mainly due to the fact that they changed the combat to be more real-time (A lot like Dragon Age:Origins actually). Square also went with a more serious, politically motivated story. I found it to be quite good, and so did most of the fanbase. But the detractors were extremely loud, and incredibly annoying. Resembled the rage at Bioware over DA2 actually, just because they took the turn based system and mixed it up a little. Also it is very slow to start, with the first six hours being kinda the tutorial phase. It took me 120 hours to finish, but that's partly because I did every bit of side content. So.... yeah good game.
Although with Dragon Age, there was the complaint of "this game feels rushed and unpolished. I didn't see as much complaining about the combat (though it was certainly there).

Exactly the opposite here. Been trying to get my hands on those for years now actually. But they are either never in stock, or just been sold.
At this point you should probably just emulate them (FFTA 1 at least, I don't know your opinion on the DS emulators).

All my LPs are and will be done using emulators and using built in screen capture technology.

So... still not entirely sure what to do. I have windows 7 on my Computer so I am not sure how to proceed here. i would really like to get my hands on some of the Fire emblem games. Is the current lets play one available on emulator? I remember playing it as a kid and would love to get a copy somehow.
Pretty much everything is availible for emulation on any handheld DS or before & any console N64 of before. Really any system with the large majority of games are 2D has a good emulator for it. New ones like the DS are a little buggy, but otherwise they're good.

If there is a emulator for a system, just about every game for that system is on it, barring newer systems.

here's how to work the thing.

1. make a file named "emulation" or something obvious like that
2. inside "emulation", put a file named "DS" or "GBA" or whatever system your working with.
3. Download your emulator (it will be zipped file) and place it in "DS" or "GBA" or whatever
4. Extract the emulator from it's file (if you don't have a file extractor, download 7zip, its's free.)

emulators I use:

NES: Nestopia
SNES: ZSNES
GB: BGB
GBA: Virtual Boy Advanced (VBA)
DS: DeSmuME and NO$GBA (if a game doesn't work for one, it will work for the other.)
No$Zoomer is good for fixing NO$GBA bugs (black screen stuff especially)

5. Find some roms (Cool roms is a comprehensive site for this stuff)
6. Download roms and extract them in their appropriate folders.
7. boot up whatever emulator you're using and look at the drop down menus
8. Look for something called "joypad" or "controller"
9. Change the controls to whatever fits you.
For nintendo stuff I use:
the a,s,d,q,w,e keys for face and shoulder buttons (ABXYRL)
start = enter
left shift = select
directional buttons = d-pad
F12= screen cap

for DS I use:
WASD = D-Pad
directional buttons = ABXY as according to their location on the DS
same start and select assignments
mouse & right mouse click for stylus

10. go to file and load to boot up your rom.
11. if you need a translation patch for the game, ill give further instructions

Word to the wise: 3D game running platforms are the ones that require the most effort

Consult me or fantasyanime.com for more emulation info.

[HEADING=2] Let?s Play Fire Emblem: Chapter 12: Birds of a Feather [/HEADING]

Our first Battle in Eliwood?s story against a large force.

WHAT, SONNY? I?M AFRAID YOU?LL HAVE TO SPEAK UP. MY HEARINGS NOT TO GOOD.

?my speech bubbles are still large.

That was fifty years ago, Marques. Elbert?s dead. Eliwood is all grown up now. You just have Alzheimer?s.

It?s not really Lying if you murder him.

I didn?t say shit, but I?ll take credit.

Grandparents (family related or not) are always good sources for backup money.

You?re too fat to be poor. All fat, poor persons are Americans and you are not one.

Do I look like someone who does anything quickly?

The plot, the thing that binds us, no matter how flimsy.

It?s a secret to everybody.

This is one of the only time the game even alludes to support conversations.

Becca, you so good.

Why aren?t you sucking, Eliwood? I must know!

Did you just murder a soldier of an allied nation state? Jesus Christ, that would be a diplomatic nightmare in real life.

Hey! It?s?

?Matthew! Awesome!

We?ll talk about my wanton manslaughter later, Oswin!

He?s like Wallace, except useful throughout the entire game rather than just in the prologue. Also he?ll be faster.

Only one Wolf Beil in the game and it?s right here.

He?s the tanky one. Probably one of the best units in the game. He?s like Oswin, but faster and uses axes.

Hector just bashed that fucker?s skull in.

Stock up on shit here for next level.

Looks like he actually hit her leg.

Rebecca can one-round kill that guy :)

Despite his sickness.

Serra, you?re an endless source of humor.

Hmm? League of assassins. We?ve NEVER encountered THAT before.

Come on, who?d want Blandiwood here dead?

Emphasis on WAS.

So I murdered him.

I always am.

Speak for yourself, asshat.

Not bad.

Oh god! Is it?

Very. *rolls eyes*

Question of the day: Now that Serra and Matthew are back what familiar face do you think We?ll see next?

oops. Visual Boy (just type VBA)
Also, is there a program for cleaning up the look of the games. I just got both fire emblems, and i remember seeing something like that on one of the sites I visited. Are there any safe ones you could recommend?
Edit post is your friend.

You seem to have everything under control. Visit fantasyanime.com in their VG emulation for newbies section for help picking visual stuff. It's all built in to the emulator.

PS. spacebar fast forwards the game
PPS. F12 screen cap creates files called "(game name)_1", 2, 3 etc. When you close the emulator, it starts at 1 again, overwriting any previous pictures named 1, 2, 3, etc.
PPPS. Save States. Press shift + F1-F10 to save, F1-F10 to load. Save & load a game at any point. DON'T USE IT TO REPLACE HARD SAVING THOUGH. Save states are .SGM, save files are .SAV

Meh. Serra's not as fun when Erk's not around to play straight man. Kind of like Zap Brannagan and Kiff in Futurama. I really hope Erk's the next unit you recruit. I know he isn't, but I like him a lot.

Why are you telling Matthew? He already knows the guy, dumbass.

What you think of the first support convo? There will be more coming along?

Personally, I have a soft spot in my heart for Bartre, who I find to be entertaining & interesting. Too bad, he's so fuckin' slow when he starts out.

I always chose Bartre over Dorcas myself. I arena abuse him against Soldiers and Knights since they almost never double him. I support him with Canas since I bench Dorcas after getting Bartre.

Btw, his daughter's hot.
