Let's talk about Bleach

First off, let me clear up where I am with Bleach. It was around the time that I was also watching Naruto, that I heard of this anime called Bleach. I searched around and watched up to about the part where they save Rukia and Ichigo achieves Bankai. After that, I watched a bit of the Bount (or however you pronounce it) ark but It seemed kind of boring and filler-ish, so I stopped watching it. From what I gathered from the fifty or so episodes I watched, it's more or less a grown up version of Naruto. What I mean is that, the story is a bit better, the characters are more developed, and instead of DBZ with ninjas it's DBZ with samurai. But all that doesn't really matter. What I want to know is, what do you think of the series?

I like bleach too, however the Bount (yes you had it correct) saga completely sucked and yes it was just a filler, if you jump past that part, honestly you really don't miss a thing, it does get better.

Its doesn't go anywhere, really. Practically, the entire series has been in limbo until the exited the Hueco Mundo. It has few interesting concepts, but nobody besides the main characters has been really established.

It needs to die. Good anime rarely goes past or even reached 30 episodes.
DBZ styled Most powerful bad guy, then most powerfuller bad guy, then most powerfuller than the most powerfullest guy is well...annoying.

Edit: Also, what ever happened to stopping those ghost monsters? I dreaded through the show somewhat, and after a few episodes of ghost hunting, they disapeared, reapeared for an episode and disappeared again. I stopped there, then saw part of episode 200+ and reaffirmed my hate. (over 200 episodes? really?)

I only watched one single episode of Bleach before concluding it was basically just Yu-Yu Hakusho, with Cloud Strife as the main character.

OT: I was okay with the show in the begining, but eventually the constant filler episodes began annoying me so I just try to catch up to the plot once a month with the manga.
Or I used to do that till they got rid of it...

I've only read the manga, haven't watched the anime yet, but it was pretty good to start off with. The story arcs were generally pretty good in the beginning, but now it's sort of moved into the realms of trolling the readers. And pretty much every character has access to a Deus Ex Machina machine.

I love Bleach.
I prefer the Manga but the Anime is pretty good.
Better than most.
The Bount filler was actually quite good, especially for a filler.

As a whole the series has a Ton of Great characters, many have been forgotten recently which is sad though.
the characters have some cool Powers ans Abilitys as well.

It is a Typical Shonen but, it pulls it off with well with a unique style all of its own.

I tell people to at least give the Manga a try.

OH you have not seen anything yet, I do agree that him getting bankai is one of the high points but I stand by my earlier comments.
