Let's talk about Bleach

Bleach is okay.

It's true that everyone is pretty much a deus ex machina machine the way they seem to play trump cards one after another.

Its kinda epic that way in a "I'm not really left handed" kinda moment, but it gets way too overused.

I like it the first few volumes, but when the series do Genre Shift [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GenreShift] i kinda stop reading it.
first off: FUUUUUUUUUUUUU! for getting me back on tvtropes. I just got off the damn thing an hour ago.
Also, I haaaate genre shifts so much. I think Bleach would've been better of without trying to sell itself off as a "average highschooler" blah blah blah slut anime, but that's not why I hate genre shifts. I remember what you did to my precious DOA series you bastards.

I read the manga because Ever since Kubo's trolling streak in the recent chapters I just HAVE to know how far he ll take it...

I mean with the appearence of Ishin and right after that Aizen turning into a pearl-death angel thing just when you think that Ichigo and Ishin kicked his ass. He procedes to slaughter everyone and then just keeps on going like nothing until Gin turned out to be a traitor (or something) and apparently kills AIzen but is still fucked up considering How many people he willingly harmed and right after that Aizen resurects and just comes out of nowhere and Slashes Gin like there's no tommorow...

Trolling extravaganza!

Oh and what happened to Kon?

As for the anime, I watch it because I think the animators did a Kick ass job. I mean how awesome was Ichigo vs Ulquiora (sp?).
Um, in the latest chapter apparently Gin took the Hougyoku orb thingy from Aizens chest, but SURPRISE SURPRISE Aizen can survive without it now because he and the orb have a very intimate relationship. I know, sad but true. I think Tite just stopped caring and is just screwing with us(the readers).
And yes, the ichigo vs Ulqiuorra fight was Freakin AWEsome. It would've been an awesome way to end the series. But no, Orihime ruins EVERYTHING again. I think thats the only time I've ever seen someone annoy someone back to life. Seriously.

Off Topic: Now I'm mainly following One Piece out of the big 3. I mean, it's getting so freaking deep and complicated I don't even....

I love the characters and have kept up with it in japanese (thats episode 284). Unfortunately they do every trick in the book to fill time including using half an episode to recap what happen on the previous episode. That's fucking irritating! And I think the writer is so pressured with his fanbase that the story is starting to bend over backwards and tuck its head up its own ass.

I like Bleach, the bount arc and all of the other filler sucked, but the main story is ok. It is pretty ridiculous though, in a recent chapter the main bad guy gets the top half of his body blown apart from the inside and he's completely ok a minute later except now he's transformed into a big butterfly ... thing.

I prefer the Manga but the Anime is pretty good.
Better than most.
The Bount filler was actually quite good, especially for a filler.

As a whole the series has a Ton of Great characters, many have been forgotten recently which is sad though.
the characters have some cool Powers ans Abilitys as well.

It is a Typical Shonen but, it pulls it off with well with a unique style all of its own.

I tell people to at least give the Manga a try.
Yeah it's a good way to show people into manga and anime. Although some filler is crap most of the story is good and I actualy really liked the Bounto.

Way better than Naruto(stupid jumpsuit ninjas)

I find it suprisingly deep for a series so focused on the action. When I say deep, I'm talking about how the world of Bleach comes to life with the help of its strong main and supporting characters and the very design of the world. It also has some great character development. Some of the characters evolve so drastically to the point they're almost entirely different from the first impression they give you from early on in the series. It also has the ocassional twist that frankly throw me through a loop, which is something I can't say about a lot of other media.

At least Naruto has some decent character growth and plot development. From being a whiny little kid, to someone who finally managed to let go of his hatred, and understand his place in the greater scheme of things. And with the latest chapters that have been released, it has answered a lot of questions, and connected all the points in the story so far.

Also, 'ninjas' is just a generic term, since at the end of the day, everyone seems to be more like mages/wizards/sorcerors than actual ninjas, and it's entertaining to read. Can't say the anime is worth watching though, with all the crappy fillers and what's not.

Bleach for the past months has been "Hello, I am Aizen Sousuke, I don't why I am didn't kill everyone with my over powered skills yet, but I will just stick around and see how you weaklings struggle till the end. Oh Ichigo(strawberry > . >), I'll eat you. (with a big smile on his face)". That was uncalled for, and that's something he literally said to Ichigo which is both funny and sad at the same time.

Not to mention in Bleach, all the minor characters don't get enough character development. Orihime has been for the past months the princess in distress that is so useless and pathetic that it doesn't make any damn sense. Captain levels who can't do anything against the Espadas. Shinji and his crew of super vizards that can't hold their ground despite their powers against Aizen. And Ichigo, who never really won a major fight without a random power popping up (unlike Naruto who had to learn to use his rasengan, learn to suppress the inner demon who was detrimental to his abilities, learn more tricks and has only recently learned how to control the kyubi). Ichigo's 'victory' against #4 ulkiw/e his name was ... disgusting. Oh and Aizen ... (at least Sasuke bleeds).

Oh, and if anything, One Piece is where it's at. Good character development, minor characters actually add something to the plot even 100 chapters later, good story.

Ok thanks for not spoiling anything for me. I'm still watching them try to resuce Orihime from Huecdo Mundo(whatever). And just started watching the filler with the princess and the flower sword guy(can't remeber his name).

I always saw in Naruto as them all being winney but thats just my personal opion and Ichigo doesn't always win because of the random power-ups. Plus theres the other characters which I find more interesting.

Never saw/read one piece. It's about pirates right?

I watched the anime to about the same point as the creator of the thread and then moved on to the manga (same with Naruto). I think the manga is really nicely written and now it even seems to be coming to and end which would be darn great since it's a bit too long already in my opinion but in overall it's a good way to get some time to fly if you have nothing to do.
As I said before, the only real reason to watch the anime is for the music.
You're so right ^^. Many animes have very great battle music and theme songs. I agree on that completely!!

Pirates with the weirdest super powers ever. Totally worth watching, even the fillers have a decent story. And sorry if I spoiled some of the stuff for you in bleach, but by the time you reach where I am right now, you are going to wish it kept the quality that the Soul Society arc, the bount arc, even some of its other fillers had.

I kinda stopped reading it when everyone started glowing and bankais were thrown left and right. Oh, and it annoyed me that Ichigo is basically a living deus ex machina. Kinda kills the suspense.

I watched Bleach till the Bount saga, then I decided to switch to something else till that filler crap was over... So when the filler was finally done with, I tuned in again... and for some damn reason, the filler characters were still there... so I just stopped watching it altogether...

Just take a look at my avatar, I'm a massive Bleach fan and despite it's many flaws I do love it. Both the anime and the Manga.

As for the fillers, the Bount arc wasn't too bad and I enjoyed the filler with the Zanpakuto spirits, it was fun to see what everyone's looked liked.

Also I do completely admit that Aizen power level may be completely overpowered.

One more thing, that I need to get of my chest.

Gin's Bankai, is
Fucking awesome.

No you didn't spoil anything. Yeah I've heard that but I also understand it has some spectacular fights. I really wish they keep a simallar animation style as with what they did in Ichigos and Grimjows first fight. Thats was a good fight.

The Anime's quality sunk like a rock in water after season two, while the manga is too stupid to stop pulling really shitty plot twists and having fights where the only thing happening is that the guys fighting take turns with revealing some secret power they've stored all this time.

Seriously, Tite Kubo is horrible at writing. Horrible. Why? As he himself has admitted, he cares more about making cool characters than developing the story, so he constantly throws more and more and more characters in there. He treats Bleach like a toy, and when the only previous work you have to brag about is Zombie Powder, you really need to focus more on quality than wanking off.
